ApexAetrex Women's Wide Athletic Walker

Bought a size 5 1/2 wide and it fits like a 7. Ankle was huge.

I have been a fan of Aetrex / Apex but had not been able to buy a new pair in a while. The famous thick plush supportive inserts were not in this pair.

I had read that Apex shoes bought the Aetrex shoe company. I have worn Aetrex sneakers for years and hoped that the Apex brand would fit the same. However, my usual Aetrex size was very much too big in an Apex shoe. I’m very disappointed. It’s difficult to order shoes online until you find a brand and size that works. Also, I was assessed a fee to return these shoes via UPS. Since I can’t find Aetrex shoes any longer, I’ll be going to a bricks and mortar shoe store to find my next well-fitting sneakers.

As soon as I began breaking in these shoes, I knew I could again walk with with a spring in my steps. I have worn a brace on one foot for five years and finally I can walk with a natural gait. These shoes are the most comfortable I have experienced in those years.

The shoes looks, feels a little too big, and heavy. I did like the color but when I wore them outside in the snow my feet felt cold and shoes became slick. I was fine on carpet but when I stepped onto the floor I started to slide, no traction.

A little longer than expected. Need to go a half size down. Width was good.

I love these shoes. I don't know how many pairs I have gone through--I am so pleased with them that I just keep replacing my walking shoes with the very same shoe every time I need a new pair.

First pair of sneakers i have actally been able to buy online and really like the way they fit and feel to walk in.
