I really enjoyed this book. As an adult who reads mainly history, I wanted a simple overview of WW I that I could share with my children & use as an introduction to the subject myself. I loved this book with its charming illustrations! The only caveat I have is that I couldn't get a single page view on my Kindle which made the print rather small in some cases.

My son is a reluctant reader but loves everything WWI or WWII. He devoured this book in hours -and that’s saying allot for a kid who cries when he has to read at 10 years old. Great book written for young kid that’s easy to read!! Yea

This is an illustrated and condensed summary of World War 1. For a complete summary, you can go here.This book is perfect for children or history-illiterate people like me. It was simple and easy to understand, plus the illustrations made it more interesting (I think all history is incredibly boring).Now this is written by a British author, so it’s definitely a different perspective on the war than what I am used to. Obviously, in the United States schools, we learn primarily about what our role was in the war. Like I mentioned before, I am not great with history, so I can’t verify the accuracy of the facts in the book. My only complaint is with the text. Explains it better than a school would. And the drawings add some uniqueness.Gives a brief overview of each battle. Very good read.

I ordered this book for my grandson (10 years old). He enjoyed reading it. He learned about these books from the online Simple History site. I'd recommend any of the books in this series.

My 7 year old grandson was able to read and understand the information and he enjoyed the pictures in the book.

Cute illustration, but very thin. It's as thin as "I CAN READ" books. I'm not satisfied with the price. I could be happy if the price was a half of the listed one.

Fun educational

A great teaching resource, especially if used with the YouTube clips from their site. A lot of information included that my year 6 class could quickly understand.
