Champion Cutting Tool CT7-2 Inch Tungsten Carbide Tipped Hole Cutter- Up to 1 inch depth of cut

I like it. Bought two to have a back up. I've already cut some lids with it also and it cut fabulously.

We have many of these and they work awesome. Never think about the traditional bi metal ones, they just collect dust. Champion is US made and it shows.

After years of dealing with the normal box store sheet metal hole saws (even the so called carbide toothed ones) I finally sprung for a pair of these in 1" and 2 1/8" for new lock preps.Sheet metal saws have a tendency to go out of round, and they don't cut a particularly clean hole even when new. If you knock one of these out of round you're doing something very, very wrong.Only issue I have with these is the teeth are pretty grabby once they're about to break through sheet metal. They'll spin your drill on you in a heartbeat if you're not careful. Technique I've used to counter that is to use higher speed and much lower pressure just before it breaks through.These are super sharp and are great for fine woods or veneers where you don't want to risk delaminating a strip of grain. Faster cutting than a Forstner bit but just as clean.Even at a 3 figure price tag I don't see myself ever going back to sheet metal saws. These are just awesome.

We have a tri-axle dump truck that we were changing the axle on and had to drill new holes. We've done this before and bought out almost every drill bit in our area and all of them broke quickly. I ordered 3 of these drill bits. Although the third bit did break before the job was finished, they held up better then any others that we've used. Through clean metal they did fine, but when they hit rust is when all the bits snapped. This does not reflect on the seller nor lessen the quality of the bit. I give the seller 5 stars, items shipped immediately and were received in good condition. If you're drilling new metal, this is the ticket. I will order these again from the same seller.

I had to cut through I beams on a special project I was working on.. Knowing it was going to "EAT UP" regular "Bi-Metal" hole saws, I decided to try a "Champion" hole saw and purchased it here on Amazon.... Well,.. I WAS AMAZED !!!!!!!!! It DID cut through like butter... Cleanly too ! The metal shavings were flying off the bit... I started on one side, and before i got completely through, finished on the other side... Now, this I beam was about a 1/2" thick and after 4 holes, I looked at the Champion bit closely... I couldn't even see any scratches on it !! It was like I NEVER used it !!!I am TOTALLY IMPRESSED by the Quality of these bits and intend on buying many more sizes ! If you need to cut through heavy gauge steel, do yourself a favor... buy this ! You will be amazed too !

I used this tool to cut a 1-1/8 inch diameter hole in a 1 inch thick piece of mild steel. I used Champion's recommended lubricant. It cut cleanly, accurately and quickly. If I need another hole saw in the future, my first choice will be Champion.

Wow ! This bit is amazing. I spent two hours with my small drill press and ruined several new drill bits trying to make two 5/8" holes in angle iron before giving up and looking for another way. The next day I watched a few youtube videos and discovered these hole saws. The bit arrived in two days (love Amazon Prime) and within 15 minutes was in the drill press and making perfect, effortless holes. It goes through 1/8" angle iron so quickly it barely gets hot. For drilling larger sized holes, the is the only way to go. Only wish I would have discovered these years ago !

I use this same brand and number all the time. But in this case the teeth came out prematurely on several units. Usually we drill 300-500 holes in .120" thick and .188" material as well as some .375" before we loose one tooth if at all (medium feed / pressure with ample cooling and oiling) and the continue drilling at least the same amount until the second tooth pops.On this batch 2 teeth popped on all units around 200 holes or so. Two teeth gone and you get chatter and a goofy hole which does not work well a commercial product. 5 Stars on all my other cutters purchased at about $10.00 more locally. Another brand with four cutter is holding up O.K. to date but have not put it thru the paces yet.

I use these at my work all the time cutting stainless steel they stand up well if used properly.Well worth the money if you have a business and need good clean rapid cuts
