Great Extension Arm!
This is a VERY sturdy extension arm! However, it’s not so hard to bend that you need an incredible amount of strength or a vice to do it (as other reviews will have you believe). Immediately after unboxing the item I was able to bend it to the shape of my desire and back to straight again, no problem. Was it considerably harder to do than longer extension arms of the same build quality? Sure. It’s probably the sturdiest extension arm on Amazon at 9”. But don’t be afraid to buy it because it’s TOO strong to bend in your hands. It’s not THAT stiff. But it’s stiff enough where you can be confident that it will not bend out of shape due to vibrations, impact or even the weight of what is being attached to it (a light or a microphone, for example). So, will the arm sag or bend on it’s own with a camera attached? Well, I’m using a Hero 8 and it doesn’t budge. Given that the Hero 8 is very lightweight, I still don’t think that adding something significantly heavier would cause this arm to bend at all. I think this product was designed for the consumer who wants to manipulate an extremely sturdy extension arm without worrying if it will sag, even after years of use. APPROVED.

Strong but not as flexible as I hoped.
Nice product. Just isn’t what I was hoping for. Doesn’t work for my application. Strong but doesn’t really hold form after bending.

Needs superhuman strength to bend
This thing is way, way too stiff. I don't know if it'll become more pliable over time, but initially it feels (and sounds) like you're gonna break it. I can 100% believe the poor reviews showing the top threading being snapped off, it could easily happen just from the pressure you need to exert to get even a modest bend in this gooseneck. It's going to work for my usecase, but I wouldn't recommend.

Ridged and puts your device where you need it!
I purchased a Rugged Ridge "07-10 Dash Multi-Mount with Phone Kit" for my 2009 Jeep JK which comes with a short and pretty weak phone grip. My Pixel 3a would fall out from even a pothole so not great for off-roading. The phone holder on the dash tray has a 1/4" threaded hole on top of the attachment point so you can screw something else right on top and leave the existing phone mount in place. In my case I used the Grifiti arm to replace to upper holder and just screwed it down tight once I got my position where I wanted it so now I have both making it usable for another small device or for a passenger phone.I purchased the "Grifiti Nootle 9 Inch Flexible Metal Black Gooseneck" and added a "RAM Double Socket Arm" and a "RAM Ball Adapter with 1/4"-20 Threaded Hole" to attach the 'TACKFORM Motorcycle Phone Mount - 1" Ball Connection' which has a death grip and it puts my phone within easier view and reach.Specific to this flex arm it is tough to bend but that is to fit it's purpose of being stiff and un-moving over rough roads. It's weird to see people complain that it does what it's supposed to in the reviews. It doesn't have a lot of flex so your arc will be gradual.JK Dash Tray https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00SV54LQU/Grifiti arm https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KGHCSN5/RAM dbl socket https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002L9LW00/RAM Ball https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B006RKF1X8/TACKFORM grip https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DFDKNZF/

A bit too stiff and too long but does the job
No much give or bend unless a huge amount of effort is used. Got this for a wifi cam base so the user can manipulate the mount to position the camera view. While it works it requires lots of effort and strength to even bend slightly. You need both hands. Price was right. May be a positive for bigger heavier items.

Threaded Stud Broke
This gooseneck is quite stiff. Does not bend much and not easily. Now this is great if you are supporting a heavy object. But know that it takes a fair amount of force to bend the gooseneck more than 15-20 degrees, and with max force the bend is only goes to about 70.I mounted the gooseneck on my bench to hold a camera and used a ball head at the top for aiming. Everything worked well until I tried to bend the gooseneck a bit to point in another direction. The 1/4-20 threaded stud broke off in the bench plate hole. Turns out the stud was a part of the white metal casting at the end of the gooseneck, not a piece of quality threaded steel. With the stud broken, the piece is unsalvageable.

Excellent, Extremely study construction.
This was exactly what I was looking for. Very solidly built extension. It takes a good bit of force to bend to the correct shape, but once there it will stay there (which is what I wanted). Though stiff, it accommodates a lot of flex (> 90 degrees).

very very stiff
Extremely stiff, impossible to adjust without two hands. This would be great for someone looking to keep their light in one spot, but I needed to adjust mine so it didn't work out for me
