Awesome Collins Hurricane Mix and Budget Friendly
Hello everyone, I was getting ready for a getaway to Tarpon Springs Florida for a couple of days and in order to save a little money at restaurants I decided to bring some rum. This way I could have "happy hour" at my bungalow before I go to dinner. I usually mix my Bacardi Dark with just pineapple juice but honestly, I really love a good Rum Runner so started a search for a Rum Runer mix and came across this "Collins Hurricane Mix" and it has similar ingredients, so I purchased it. I have to say it is absolutely delicious and will be buying it from now on. The price is great compared to other "Rum Runner" mixes and I am on a budget always. It's not too sweet just right. I fill the glass with ice, pour a shot of rum then top with the Collins Hurricane Mix" and drink up. Highly recomend.

Perfect for our Super Bowl Party held in New Orleans or any time a Hurricane is desired!! Just add rum!!

Way too sweet, though I do have a fix...
It is extremely sweet for my tastes so when I make my hurricanes with it, I pour my rum, add seltzer water / club soda to cut the sweetness down, and top with the hurricane mixer. I personally like the effervescent character it lends to the cocktail. It makes for a dangerous drink in that you don't even taste the rum in it. They go down all too well! It is flavorful, in that you can taste the fruit flavors in it over the sweet. That it's not made with hf corn syrup is a plus. A little pricey, but considering how I use it, I can get quite a few cocktails out of a bottle.
