The Portable Abraham Lincoln (Penguin Classics)

I bought this book for a Political Science course at my university. My university's bookstore charged more for this particular book, so I was relieved when I found it on Amazon at a more reasonable price. The book arrived at my mailbox in time for the start of the course. I have kept the book and am happy with my purchase.

Pretty much an essential for any presidential or Lincoln library. There's much more to say about Lincoln but you have to leave something out to make it more "portable."

How could a collection of Abraham Lincoln's writings fail to please anyone except Jeff Davis and his admirers? My only criticism is that it is not a longer book.

It had most of the big speeches and letters and was much lighter than other volumes I have...so Yes, portable. ;-)
