Best Head Mounted Light I Own!
Let's start off why I bought this light. I saw a promo on FACEBOOK for this light with a special promo code that made itcrazy not to buy it. Second it was being sold by AMAZON so I knew my info was safe and I would at least receive the light.Well today it arrived via USPS. I opened the box and was surprised to see the light in a nice, neat, shelf ready retail pack.I opened it up immediately, my biggest concern with most of these head mounted work lamps is the size and adjustment ofthe bands. I wear a LG/XL hat and most of these bands are designed for small or medium at best. WOW! This thing fit myhead comfortably. I think I could even wear a thinner stocking cap or a ball cap turned around and still put this light over thehat and on my head. I opened up the batteries that came with it and installed them into the battery compartment. The latchwas a little tight to release, but that may be a good thing in the long run. I place the unit on my head and reached up for theon button, which is easily located. I pressed it one time and I was greeted with a clear, round, solid, bright white light! The lightdoes not have any dim or odd shadows as some flashlights project. This was pure clean white light. I reached up to the focusring and adjusted the light beam from narrow to wide, again I was pleased with the results. I focused the beam about in themiddle and depressed the on/off button again, now the light is about 1/2 power or battery saving mode. I think this would behandy if you were reading or possibly cooking and you were just trying to put some light on the subject. I pressed the switchagain for the third time and it went back to 100% and became a flashing strobe. The strobe is blinding and will get someone'sattention if needed. I think this mode will be best suited for emergencies. Depress the switch a final time and it turns off. Thelast feature is equally important as the rest. The light is mounted on a single pivot point. This will allow the user the ability toaim the light down for work you may be doing in front of you. The light "clicks" as you move it up and down. It does take alittle energy to manipulate, but it's not hard, very solid. So the big test will be longevity. I have no idea how rugged this light isor whether or not it will stand up to the rigors of time. I think most people will find this light to be well above average and a solidbuy. I would not have a problem using this light working on the car, camping, walking in the evening, fishing, power outages,or possibly on the job, mechanics, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, exterminators. This light compared to other lights in thisprice range, I believe it to be good buy. I would purchase this again if I had too. I hope it lasts many years! 2 Thumbs up Zenith Flame!I would like to see some removable colored light filters that would enhance the usage of this light. Red, Yellow, Blue. Sometimeshaving colored light in preferable to white light, especially hunting, fishing or when you wish not to be so visible.************March 13th Update**************************I have had this light now for three months. I have used it several times, working in the early evening in the yard and on vehicles. The lighthas held up well and the original batteries are still in it. I wish i could get another one at a special price to give my wife. By far the best headlampon the market for the money! BUY ONE IF YOU NEED ONE!

This is a pretty solid headlamp for the money
This is a pretty solid headlamp for the money. It will get some serious use setting up camp late Friday evenings when we arrive after dark. I can't attest to the light's durability as we have not had it long but it does seem to be well constructed. There is one issue that prevents me giving this headlamp a 5th star... The on off button possibly works too well depending on your perspective. Its one button activation is fine and it simply cycles through its functions with each press of the button. The problem, for me arises when the light is packed away, the button is very easily pressed activating the light. Both times I did this and I'm unsure how long the light was on but I didn't realize it was on until near dark and I then noticed my bag was glowing. I'm trying to be careful of this situation and if I was smart I would take the batteries out before storing to prevent inadvertently discharging them. Its a solution but not one I'm endeared to. I want it ready to go when I am and that means not messing around with dead batteries or loading a set before getting started. This is a ''first world issue'' for sure but I do like the light, I just wish the switch was a little less simple to accidentally engage.

Great Product
The light is very bright and you can very easily find your way through the darkest place at ease. The light beam can be changed by using the zooming ring. It also have a dimming mode which is also very useful. I bought two and both is working great. I already recommended these to my friend going on camping. It also uses 3 AAA batteries that are ready available on stores.A warning though, do not turn the front part of the light. It is screwed into the body to hold the lens assembly and there is a small ball bearing that makes the zooming ring turn in steps and it is held by a spring inside the zoom ring. If you open it all the way then the ball will pop open and might get lost. So be careful not to open the lens assembly unless you actually want to. I accidentally kept turning the front part thinking it to be the zooming ring when it came apart and the small ball dropped on the floor. I was able to put it back and re-secure the lens assembly. This is a great product which I will definitely recommend to others.

Much more useful than I thought
Strap is comfortable and adjustable in several ways. I doubt one could run with on but for home and car maintenance when one doesn't have the hands and need light this is great. I like that I can change the size of the beam and the the angle of the light. I have progressive trifocal glasses so it is helpful to have the range of light placement options. Well made.

Light works well, hinge broke immediately
Light works, but the adjustment hinge broke within about 5 minutes of gentle adjustments while first trying it on. On close inspection, the hinge "catch ratchet" is extremely weak, thin plastic. If had not broken in 5 minutes, it would have broken soon thereafter on the trail. I returned it.

Damaged the battery then quit working
After 11 months I found that the contact springs had corroded the area of contact on the Sanyo/Panasonic rechargeable battery. All 3 of the batteries were damaged on the negative end The spring appears copper colored. There was also damage to one of the positive terminals. The batteries had not run down, but I recharged them. Upon reinserting them, the light no longer worked. The batteries tested normally on a separate test.
