My granddaughter has celiac disease and can't have malt. Her favorite candy used to be Whoppers malted milk balls. She said that was the one thing that was hardest to give up when she was diagnosed.This extract allowed her to have that malt flavoring without compromising her health. That makes this Nana happy!

Unfortunately, this extract smells HORRIBLE and tastes even worse.So dissatisfied!!Please, don’t waste your money!!

Great for enhancing flavor when added to malted barley. Not good enough by itself. Worth buying to get more intense flavor

Taste like doody and smells like a dead person!

...because it has a rather strong chemical taste to it, overpowering the malt taste I'd wanted.

I got this product because I found a recipe for a Fruit Malt Loaf, something I loved when I lived in the UK, I was so looking forward to making it. But when I opened the jar I was so overwhelmed by a foul smell. I really tried to work with this product but the smell went all through the house. Sorry just couldn't use it

If you just have to try it buy the small bottle first to taste. Taste is a sense that varies person to person but I thought it tasted like toxic garden products smell.
