excellent recording
I was looking for the 1972 version of Amazing Grace. I had to buy 4 CDs until I found this one. It is great and very beautiful!

Beautiful!
The music on this CD is beautiful. I got it mainly because it includes my two favorite bagpipe pieces, Amazing Grace and Highland Cathedral. However, all of the pieces are beautifully performed.The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards do not disappoint!

The Best Bagpipe CD Out There
You won't be disappointed with this CD if you like pure bagpipe music. This is my favorite CD at the moment. My only minor beer is that the rendition on this CD of Braveheart is much subdued compared to what they usually perform. Favorites are 11, 12 & 15. Buy it, you won't regret it.

Lots of Orchestration with Bagpipes as an "accent"
This music is well done and I liked it however if you are looking for primarily bag pipes, this isn't it. There is a lot of orchestration which is nice and very professionally done. Many of the songs are movie themes. It's good music to have as soft background but if you are looking for "stirring bag piping", this is not.

Lovely CD
Needed a Scottish CD for my children's Great Grandpas memorial to play softly in the back ground. This CD was perfect for it and something my kids will always cherish.

Delightful
A wonderful collection of a number of famous and a few not so famous songs that were delightfully presented by the band. Loved the combination of the various instruments of the band. Great music to relax to in the evening, wake to in the morning for a gentle start to your day, or great background music to read by. This CD along with Spirit if the Glen- Journey, and Spirit of the Glen made a terrific playlist on my iPod .

A must buy if you enjoy bagpipes with orchestras. Use headphones for outstanding enjoyment. A 5 plus rating.
