Ceanothus

I'm in California and bought this book after deciding to switch the yard over to a low-water low-maintenance native yard. The two plants that stood out the most as centerpiece plants were the ceanothus and the arctostaphylos. I wanted to find as much reference information as possible on these two plants, and this book covered the ceanothus in detail. There are other books on CA native plants that cover ceanothus but they only provide high level/summary views of a few species/cultivar. This book has the most in-depth information on various species/cultivars of ceanothus out there . If you're interested in ceanothus, or are planning on putting some in the yard, this is the book to get.The one negative I have about the book is that it doesn't include pictures of all of the different plants they cover, which would have been very helpful in both identification and also choosing a plant if you were looking to buy one.

This is one of my two favorite plant books, the other being 'California Native Plants for the Garden' also co-authored by David Fross. The information provided is exactly what you need to know about choosing and maintaining the right Ceanothus for your garden.

It,s a beautiful book. The only thing I found was a picutre of a certain ceanothus that I wanted to see was suppose to be on page 2. There was no page 2. But other than that it is very informative and has beautiful pictures.

Love the book. Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. If you are interested in Ceanothus, it will be an important addition to your library.

They claimed the books was like new and it was. It even had the publisher's information card inside.
