Novogratz Delmar Collection Wright Area Rug, 8'0" x 10'0", Multicolor

This rug looks great in my room - I get a lot of positive comments on it by friends who come over. I used the Amazon Basics rug pad under it which is also working great. The colors are as shown and it is a quality wool rug.I will note some downsides: Yes, this rug sheds a lot. I have had it for 9 months and it is still shedding even after vacuuming it a ton (every time I vacuum it my canister fills with fuzz). My cat is also doing her best to rip this apart. The rug is pretty resilient, but you can tell where she has scratched. Finally, because it's a wool rug it isn't as soft as rugs made out of other material. So if you were looking for a rug to lay on while watching TV, this may not be for you.I'm still giving this rug five stars, since I think it really is a great looking, quality rug.

Beautiful wool rug we bought for our playroom for the kids. Nice and vibrant colors, great price on Amazon compared to other places. It did have a slight wooly smell to it, but it’s made of wool, so it is what it is! Smell went away after maybe a week. It does shed on my yoga pants when playing/sitting on the rug, but doesn’t shed with other fabrics like jeans or cotton sweatpants, etc. It’s overall we are happy with it!

The other reviewers are right. It sheds sooo much! I thought it would get better over time but I still have to vacuum it about every 3-4 days. Thankfully it’s a beautiful & good quality rug otherwise so a quick vacuum is worth it.

This is my second Novogratz rug. I had the exact same rug, just a smaller size. I opted for a larger size but stayed with the same brand and style. It fits in well with my mid-century modern look. It is heavy, plush and well made. It does shed a lot at first, but the more it’s vacuumed, it’s not a problem. I highly recommend Novogratz rugs!

I purchased this rug for our family room (8x10 size) to be a nice cushy surface for baby to roll around on, rather than hardwood floors. The rug arrived quickly, in good condition, wrapped in heavy plastic (no box). The colors and the pattern are attractive and matches the description in the product page. HOWEVER, this rug sheds A LOT. I know wool rugs shed but this is way more than I expected. Also, there are many loose threads. Although I hope this shedding will lessen over time; but I don't really have a benchmark for how long that should take and thus I may not have the patience. I have vacuumed it maybe 30 times already. The fibers are flying all over the place and I have already used up a second bag for my vacuum cleaner (which are not cheap for Miele, by the way). I am enclosing some photos. I first vacuum with the rug attachment which then do a second round with the floor attachment, then I vacuum and wipe my vacuum cleaner. Because this thing weighs a ton (being 8X10) and some shedding is expected, I am not even sure how OR if it could be returned. I am disappointed because I do like the size and the pattern. I will give it some more time, and if things improve (with continued vacuuming on my part!), then I will update my review. Two stars for attractive pattern and vibrant colors, but this is not a convenient/user friendly product for our busy household.Update: To my dismay, my parents just pointed out what I thought were more loose threads was in fact a gash (cut) through the rug's backing. It appears something like a box cutter went through the rug. Since I did not use box cutter to open the packaging (per instructions) I can only surmise this happened during packaging. What can I say? Very disappointed.

I came back to update my review. I’ve had this rug for a long time now, almost a year, with young children and it’s truly spectacular. I love it. I get so many compliments. It’s soft yet thick. Gorgeous vivid colors that stay regardless of sun. It’s wool. I came back to see if the seller had other designs to purchase. It sheds but after a few vacuums it stops. One of my best purchases on Amazon. Buy it you’ll love it

I received this rug a few weeks ago and it has been an incredible addition to my Living Room! The rug does shed, but all wool rugs will shed for a period of time. I think the quality is amazing and the colors are vibrant. I originally saw this rug on apartment therapy and did a google image search to find the rug on amazon- I had to have it! It feels much more expensive than it is! Highly Recommend!

It took a long time for the rug to be delivered and a lot of work to bring it up to second floor. One can only imaginea level of disappointment to find the rug was damaged and most likely at the factory as packaging was intact.Otherwise it seems like a nice rug think and soft.
