Craftsman 30498 3-Function Visor Remote Control Garage Door Opener

There isn't much I would expect from a garage door opener other than to open and close my garage door from a decent distance. This does that and it works with both of my garage door openers. It was easy to set up. I didn't fully read the setup instructions so it took me a few minutes to figure out you had to keep pressing the button until the lights flashed on my opener. I was only pushing it once and it wouldn't sync. I guess it cycles through the preset craftsman frequencies which makes sense. Overall it works well.

Purchase this replacement for my garage door. Works fine just what I needed.

Programming was pretty straight forward. It was just slightly different than the directions. I have a Craftsman with an orange button. I pushed the remote button as many times as it said (holding it down on the last push while it was pairing.) Same thing with my Chamberlain with a purple button. On neither door did it work quite right on the first couple pushes of the paired buttons. But, it seems to be working fine now. (And I tested each button several times after it started working properly.) Will update if anything changes.

Works as advertised. I wanted it to program mine and another house's garage. Both work great.Note: when programming the second garage, be sure not to hit any of the other buttons that are already programmed or you'll erase the original button. Found that out the hard way. Otherwise, this remote works great.Update: still works as it should months later. I do find that the center button has the strongest signal though. Using the side button requires you to be much closer than you do for the center. Not a big deal as they all work.

I have an older Craftsman opener and needed to replace one of my malfunctioning remotes. Realizing that my product was no longer made, this remote that can operate 3 door openers is its replacement. The remote comes with detailed instructions that I had to read a couple times to fully understand the sequence of steps. I followed each step carefully and the remote worked in the first try. I would have given this 5 stars if i had the option for a single garage opener which is all I needed but had to buy the triple opener.

I have the opposite problem as the other's who rated this 1 star. We have 3 garage doors. One is on a newer opener and the other 2 are on an older opener. I purchased the remote for the opener that operated 2 doors. Within a day of programming our 3rd door that is on a separate opener started syncing with the other 2. Not such a problem, except they don't actually sync, One will go up and when you close it one or two of the others will go up as the one is coming down. It does this randomly in MANY combinations. But that's not the worst. After a couple of months of my husband and I accusing each other of leaving one of the doors open I discover that our neighbor, across the street and 2 houses down has the same remote and it is opening our door!

Works as intended. Make sure you read the instructions, I tried to do the YOUTUBE and it is different. There is a program button on the back of the remote and depending on what color button is on your Craftsman garage door opener will determine how many times to click the remote button you want to program. After that, all done and pretty simple. Good luck!
