To mark my rescue twin kitties tenth birthday I decided to look for something special beyond the usual catnip toys. When I saw this cat house TV I knew they would love it, they always can't wait for me to open stuff from Amazon so they can play in the boxes so I end up not throwing them away for days or even weeks.Only last week we bought a new TV for the humans in our house and with furniture rearrangement there was an empty space between it and the fireplace, under a window facing us as we watch TV. What a perfect place to put this, it not only gives them a place to snuggle up while still being near us but the padded top is purrfect for laying in the sun or looking out of the window as the world goes by.The product description for once may be too modest and undersells the quality of this product and some of the reviews clearly were way off base in their expectations of what they would get for twenty-five bucks. So when I opened it I was thrilled that it far exceeds my expectations.There is virtually no assembly. You lift the thick hardboard sides and it snaps into shape, then you press the hardboard floor into place and finally place the padded hassock lid on top and you're done. It comes with a matching fitted padded mattress for inside which we may use in winter when it gets colder but my cats prefer to sleep on a nice cool floor most of the time.The materials used are much nicer than I ever expected and I have no qualms having this on display right in the living room, how many pieces of cat furniture can you say that about. In the product photos the TV screen front looks a little cheesy but in real life it looks perfect, very slightly cartoony and very slightly whimsical but not too much of either. The rust color of the rest of it is the ideal choice to go with almost any decor.Keep your expectations reasonable, while I think the top would be strong enough to support a human's feet as a hassock I don't plan to ever use it that way. Both of my cats have cuddled together sleeping in the sunlight on the top, which is a total of about twenty-five pounds, and there is no hint of sagging.The proof is in the pudding as they say, who cares if I a mere human likes it, what do my cats think of it. The picture I took 30 seconds after I set it up says it all, the female kitty immediately moved in and put out the no vacancy sign, she didn't even sniff around, she felt right at home. And if you have cats you know how rare that is. A short time later her brother joined her and he too gave it two thumbs, er paws, up. This is definitely a keeper product.I have often said that I try to keep true to the rating system here and unlike some people I don't just automatically give five stars to everything. To me that should be for the best of the best, a product that exceeds expectations and one that has few if any flaws. This is one of them. I enthusiastically suggest considering it.

Good size, great value and great price!

I'd had this on my radar for months. After reading the reviews I decided to go for it! I was very impressed by how sturdy it is. The design is adorable. and even the cushioned lid is comfortable. I was a little worried my 18 pound cat (picture) wouldn't be able to fit but she managed to! That being said she prefers to lounge on top of it. My other two cats are still unsure about it. The box has still has that "new" smell. Not a bad smell or anything but I'm hoping once it fades the other cats will be willing to try it.*Update* I walked into the room and saw that one of the cats had decided to give it a try after I cut up an old blanket and placed it inside.

I'm really serious - I have bought a load of these cat cubes and tubes and stuff and you see that elastic band around it with the caution and probably pay little mind to it - right? Me too - this one is LETHAL! - I ended up with a concussion!!! It's not the thin wire we're used to - it's very thick and the fabric is sturdy and keeps it together so it comes out of the 'band' in a 'lunp' of fury!!!!!!!!!! It got me right under my nose and across my left cheek - what a mess I was but, aside from the bruising, I was concussed! I couldn't see or hear properly and my head was pounding so bad that I couldn't move it at all without going dizzy and nauseous for a day or two! I'm familiar with 'Concussion Protocol' so my family kept me awake in turn but for others - please, please take heed of that Caution slip and open it AWAY from yourself!Anyway, that being said, it's great for my daughter's Maine Coon cat - he is huge (30lbs) and easily demolishes the little cubes which our other cats enjoy! He is overwhelmed that he can lie down in it and make noises on it's 'ceiling' with his paws without him falling out of it's sides!!The material is like umbrella/raincoat so it makes like a whistling sound - you know what I mean but it's just precious to watch because he is so aware of his damaging of normal stuff!! He adores it!

Both my cats love this. I don’t know how long it will last because besides laying in it, they jump from their scratcher post on top of it and they also flip it around the room. Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, it’s completely folded or across my bedroom. It was extremely inexpensive, so as long as they are enjoying it, it’s affordable to replace.

I wish it came in colors, but other than that, it's perfect. At 17" x 17" x 17" it's bigger than most of other similar cubes and the openings are larger as well. This is perfect for my large Maine Coon boys. They love these cubes: sleep in them, play in them, chase each other through them. Very satisfied.

Something so simple and its honestly the best thing I've ever purchased for my cats.They love to lay in it, play in it, attack it, jump on it,This box is my cats favorite thing in the world and it brings me absolute joy watching them enjoy it

This T.V. Ottoman is a hoot! My 6 cats loved it! There is enough room inside to move around, or they can lounge on the top. Ok, first you HAVE to read the bag it comes in. No joke, it is funny, and the picture is hilarious. It is so easy to put together! Flip up the sides (They are all connected), put in the bottom, put in the padded bottom, put on the top and you are DONE! This baby is STURDY! YOU can use it as an ottoman! Now my cats are famous! :D
