Dan & Darci Mega Gem Dig Kit - Dig up 15 Real Gemstones

My two little girls are thrilled with this kit. They love collecting pretty pebbles at the beach and my 6 year old already has a small collection of her favourite finds. The booklet is very encouraging and informative and they are still chipping away daily and making a brilliant mess inside the roasting tin and the surrounding floor hehe^^. She keeps telling her little sister "the earth made these" !! I also purchased the rock tumbler to complete the set. I can't wait for seaside in the summer so we can transform the pebbles they find into polished 'gems'.

My 7year old loved the product but she was through with finding all the gems in a matter of few hours. So maybe for this age group it may not be appropriate as she lost interest with it then. The set, gems and quality of the product is great 👍

Something different for a 6 year old - he kept going until all the ‘gems’ had been retrieved. There were more ‘gems’ than expected, although some of the less impressive ones were duplicated and some which were illustrated were not included at all, which was disappointing, hence only 4 stars.

My 8 year old daughter loves this gem dig. She takes her time and chips away carefully and gets very excited when she finds the different gems. The booklet is informative and helps her to identify which gem she has uncovered. She's only found 3 so far so many more hours of fun to be had. It does get quite messy so on sunny days we encourage her to do it in the garden. Thank you Dan & Darci for this fabulous kit. Would highly recommend.

Educational toy leaning about rocks

A very good present for my granddaughter who loves gems and enjoyed digging them out but unfortunately the message on the box read: there are 15 gems in the rock and if you are one of the lucky ones who have 16 gems, the 16th one will be an amethyst - she got 17 but not an amethyst- we were very disappointed.

I got this for my son. He had great fun digging for the Gems. It was easy to dig them out and the mess wasn’t so bad

A great gift! My sons are enjoying this set - giving them hours of fun searching for gemstones! They also enjoy reading about the stones when they find it and the little canvas pouch is handy for keeping the treasures!
