Seems to work well
I haven't used it long enough to judge it's durability, but it arrived in good condition, packing was above adequate, the quality seems to be good, though as I've said, I haven't used it much yet.

Very good stone!
When I was a kid, I had a smaller Smith's Medium Arkansas stone on a small paddle. I wore a groove in it keeping an edge on my pocket knife. Eventually, I wore the poor thing out to the point where the stone fell off of the paddle, and still I kept using it. Now, 40 years in, I finally broke it in the middle. When I went to replace it, nothing but a Smith's would do. I've tried others, but they never had the right feel to them. After using it for a couple of weeks, this one has that same feel I was looking for.Follow this up with a Hard Arkansas, and get a razor-sharp edge!As always, I have received no compensation for my review. This is my own, unadulterated opinion.

Great finishing stone.
Easier to use then their small stone. Love finishing my knives with this, or use it as a quick perk up on my edc knife if it’s not cutting though stuff like... well if it was hot and I had some butter.

Great product for the price
This is a great stone for finishing the edge of a knife which has already been sharpened some.

Great stone
Great stone and will last a lifetime with proper care. Will keep a fine edge on your blade. I held back on 5 stars because the stone comes mounted in the plastic holder and you can't remove it so you can only use one side. That also makes it awkward to use in the field or anyplace without a raised flat surface to place it on.

Seems like good quality but I am learning ask me again after some practice
I like that it was set in its own case which is adequate for my learning use and size works well

NOT Fine (1,000 grit)
This product is incorrectly described as a “fine” (1,000 grit) stone from the heading/name to the Product Description. However, the next section “From the Manufacturer” as well as Smith’s website says “The 6” Medium Arkansas Stone is the best general purpose sharpener of all the natural Arkansas Stones” and further Details that the MBS6 dimensions as “Stone Size: 6" x 1 5/8" x 3/8" / Medium Arkansas Grit: 600 Grit”.
