I shoot Competition 8 months out of the Year. I have 5 Name Brand ball bearing cleaning rods of 3 different top band names. Purchessed the Breakthrough because I good get a 39" without cutting it down. However Breakthrough has without doubt become my go to cleaning Rod on the Road and at Home. At some weekend matches I clean 12 to 14 times. I say Breakthrough is the best Rod I have handled. I love the heavy handle, and the must have Carbon Fiber Rod. "I have give 2 of the more expensive rods away"

Beautiful rod came in a nice sealed plastic container. i opened the container which would be an excellent place for safe storage of the rod. Visually the rod looks first rate. I rotated the rod to test bearing action. The action was good but the rod itself is bent and wobbles badly. Very dissatisfied. I hate returning things but I’m afraid I’m going to have to send this rod back. This is a Quality Control issue from Breakthrough. Good materials, good design, poor Q.C.! After returning this rod I will most likely buy a Hoppe’s or Tipton rod to replace it. I have other Breakthrough products with no complaints. I bought the rod from Fuzzy Living.

The media could not be loaded. Poor workmanship. The bearings have rough spots & it doesn't spin smoothly.The threads were clogged with some black substance & the jag wouldn't thread in, was a pain in the butt cleaning. Once I got the jag in it won't stay tight.There is a gap between the brass & carbon rod.For the size of the rod it's very flimsy.Overall I'm very unimpressed for the price I was expecting better quality. My tipton rods are far better quality.I won't touch my target rifle with this, that's for sure.
