IK MultimediaiKlip 3 - Universal Stand on Microphone Stand for Tablets from 7 Inch to 12.9 Inch with or without Protection, Accessories for Microphone Stands, Mounting Stands for iPad

After investing £1400+ on an iPad Pro I felt really nervous using this. The adjustment is weak and doesn't take the weight of an iPad pro. The arm is not long enough to use at the side of a mic stand in 'portrait' position. I tried to work with IK Multimedia who were pretty hopeless as they knew I was right and they unit was NOT fully compatible.

I bought the iKlip 3 for my new 12.9" iPad Pro. I use it for reading chords and lyrics whilst on stage. It clips onto the mic stand very well and can also be used with a mic stand all on it's own using the supplied adaptor. I do think that it was a bit highly priced but after receiving it, I can see and feel how well built it is. The actual clip bit can take my android phone right up to the iPad Pro so is a very vesatile piece of kit.

I had bought a number of iPad mounts to see which was the sturdiest, easiest to set up and useful. I found of all the ones I bought. I re-bought this one again l, as it was the best in my opinion. A lot of cheaper brands & models just would not work correctly and their or hold the wait well when trying to lock it into position. It was also the least fiinighy to attach a tablet to.

My review is specific to the Amazon product entitled "IK Multimedia iKlip 3 - Universal Stand...".I like the stand -seems well enough made and flexible as to how it can be used.But...The description is confusing, so it was not clear to me in advance whether it would do what I wanted. The product description says:********Mounting: Up to 5 Mounting options in 1 - front, side and boom mounting (iKlip 3) plus a top-mount and camera tripod adaptor (with iKlip 3 Deluxe)********The implication is that the top-mount and camera tripod adaptor only come with the "iKlip 3 Deluxe" variant of the product. So this raises the doubt that it doesn't apply to the product in question, being the "IKlip Multimedia iKlip 3". If that were the case, then I wouldn't want to buy this product... But then I saw that this Amazon product page is actually linked from an item called "IKlip 3 Deluxe" on the Amazon "IK Multimedia Store" page. So it seems both names refer to the same product. It would be helpful if IK or the vendors, whoever is responsible, could get their act together and decide on a single and unambiguous product name, and then state clearly what is included in that product.However, it's rather an nice stand, and I'm happy with it. I can clamp my tablet onto a pole or boom arm using the supplied clamp, I can screw it onto a mic stand using the supplied thread adaptor, or I can screw it directly onto a camera tripod if I remove the thread apaptor (the thread adaptor does tend to bind onto the iKlip and might need pliers to get it off - this caused me confusion at one point because forgot that it was a separate and removable part and so I didn't see how the camera tripod connection was supposed to work)
