Pastel by Vivienne Women's A-Line Swing Midi Dress Plus Size Casual Curvy Formal

I bought this dress in the burgundy color and it was a perfect fit, even though some reviews mentioned sleeves being too tight, I was concerned since my arms are on the big side. Anyway, I loved it so much, I ordered two more but different colors in the SAME SIZE. When I got the two dresses, there was a noticeable difference, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it so I got my burgundy dress out and held them up against one another.....the two I had just ordered, even though the same size, were about 2 to 3 inches shorter and the sleeves were about 2 inches shorter and when I tried them on, the sleeves were definitely tighter.....the dress still fit, but didn't look as good as the burgundy because of being just a smaller cut of the same dress. The sleeves, although still comfortable, looked stretched on my arms, so I was VERY disappointed that these two dresses were not as perfect as the first. I still recommend these dresses, as although they are really plain, this allows you to accessorize and they really look great. Plus, if you are on the heavier side, the way the dress falls, it doesn't show every bump and bulge especially from the back. I recommend using the size chart and taking your measurements and being honest about the size you choose....this will result in a better fitting dress.

I wore this dress to my uncle’s wedding and got so many compliments. My cousin couldn’t believe what I paid and that I got it from Amazon. I will definitely be buying this dress again in different colors. Ladies, this dress is multifunctional so you can wear it for a more casual setting or dressed up! It’s very flowy so it’s extremely comfortable.

I was afraid I would like I was wearing a bag, but the cut and the way the pieces are sewn compliment my plus sized full figure. The weight of the material is perfect, so lumpiness doesn't show through 🙂. It's a lovely dress, very classic styling, and it can be dressed up or worn casually.

The arms on the dress are a bit snug. I have larger arms so I sized up and they fit perfectly. The body of the dress I would say is true to size. I love this dress. Not see through, very soft, and extremely comfortable.

I don't wear dresses anymore as it is too hard to find something that doesn't show off my belly as a prominent feature, forcing me to wear all sorts of "control" type underwear in order to minimize it. But I needed a black dress for my father's wake and funeral service, so Amazon Prime to the rescue. This dress was just what I was looking for! From the three-quarter sleeves, to the just below the knee length, and of course the style that floated over my belly and butt without looking like a big body tent. I took my measurements and ordered the corresponding size and it worked out perfectly. (I washed the dress in a cold water cycle in a delicates bag to avoid lint, dried flat, and ironed on the "rayon" setting. I wore a black slip under it.) If I needed another dress for a wedding or some such, I wouldn't hesitate to order another one in a different color.Many thanks to Pastel by Vivienne for being there in my time of need!

So I never buy clothes online unless I've tried them on in real life, but I made an exception for this based on the crazy amount of positive feedback this had. OMG WORTH IT. It's so soft and drape-y and flattering, and I'm probably going to buy 5 more in different colors. I was worried about my upper arms fitting, because they're big and have always been the bane of my existence in finding dresses with sleeves, but the sleeves on this were plenty stretchy. I'm 5'5", and the dress hit juuuuust below the knee, which... while I thought it'd be a bit longer, was still fine. My roommate is 5'9" and tried it on and it hit above the knee but still wasn't too short. I'm chiming in on the chorus of reviewers to say: BUY IT OMG. For the price? WORTH IT.

Not suitable for dressing up or formal wear, but good for everyday use. Good fit and hangs well.
