Good value
Bought this based on the reviews and the price. Very pleased with the solid build quality, certainly strong enough to handle my normal drilling requirements with wood. I have no doubt it would handle metal tooStandard fitments so aligns with my pillar drill well, recommended

Sturdy vice, value for money. Needs a bit of tweaking
Great little vice for the money to be honest.I closed the vice up fully but the jaws got really tight and ended up misaligned - see photo. I oiled the vice and it still did the same. After disassembling it, I used a file to draw file the base of the jaws smooth as the casting is was quite rough. After doing both sides of the moveable jaw, I re assembled it, added a bit of oil and all worked well. You shouldn't have to do this with a new product, but for the money it was worth it.

A lighter duty drill vice, good value
Felt quite light when I got the box. Used a few times now, and it was sturdy and clamped the piece well, I believe you get what you pay for, can’t see this lasting a lifetime like a record vice but more than ample for my needs

Cheap but very cheerful..
For the price this vice is difficult to fault. All in all very suitable for my hobby workshop.

Expected better due to the reviews but it was cheap and it is cheap
It will do the job in a pinch but I wouldn't rely on it for accuracy. Because the moving jaw has so much play it has a tendency to ride up off it's line of travel and angle off the workpiece when you apply a decent amount of pressure. If your work piece is even slightly off square it will tend to tilt in the vice and your hole will not be perpendicular to the top of the work piece. This will do for the job I'm doing now but I will buy a better made unit in the near future.EDIT: bought a better vice and it highlighted just how bad this one was. My new vice has absolutely no play whatsoever and the surfaces are all dead parallel or square. It cost an extra £20 but it was well worth it.

Cheaply Made but still OK
This is a budget drill press vice and whilst it works OK, it still seems a bit crude - that said it does the job it is supposed to do and is string enough to hold just about anything that fits. My only real negative is that I cannot attach it to my drill press stand - that is most probably down to me not checking the measurements before I bought it. Anyway, my drill press is one of the modern electronic ones and not a good old rough and tumble type I had before. In use it works well, even if I need to clamp it to my press drill whenever I need to use it - meanwhile I have made a wooden vice to hold my jobs whenever I use the drill.
