The Art of Watercolor

This book is very helpful especially for beginning or intermediate painters. The pictures are very nice, big and varied so that they are fairly easy to paint from. It even includes a few Chinese Brush paintings, which I have not tried, but are very pretty. Subject matter is varied, not just flowers nor landscapes, but a bit of everything. I like this book.

As a beginner in watercolours I found this book to have some good instruction. I do wish it had more step by step instruction on how to do the various techniques, but the pictures did help.

Overall a very good book for techniques on a variety of subjects. It is not step by step but provides enough information and illustrations to build on the basics. I purchased a used book which came as the condition described.

Love the book great art ideas was a used book was missing a page which was a bummer No 88 or 89 would love to see the missing page but for the price was a great deal

Beautiful book and very helpful. I especially like the fact that the author uses different artists and different styles along with the hints. Great investment for the beginner.

Loaded with good information and I especially liked the section on how to use a Chinese water color pen to paint with.
