Great book on Qigong!
I love this book! I first purchased the video on Qigong by Deborah Davis: The Spirit of Qi Gong- Chinese Exercises for Longevity The video is excellent, but I realized I wanted to learn more about Qigong, and this book is a great companion to the video. It gives more detail on the exercises, the benefits they provide, and the theory behind them, plus it includes some exercises not on the video. There are detailed pictures and descriptions for each exercise, and there are also explanations of Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupunture and the six healing sounds. I like the fact that this book is designed specifically for women. I also like the organization of the book. There are separate chapters for certain periods in life. Deborah is a wonderful, knowledgeable teacher of Qigong. I hope she writes another book and produces another video! Do yourself a favor and purchase both the book and video. You won't regret it!

Well written and what I was looking for
After several major surgeries I was looking to "get my Qi back." This is VERY informative. Normally, I like audio, but there is so much information and step-by-step that it needs to be in book form. A great instructional reference for those who do Qigong, and women like me who cannot by physically active in any other way but Qigong. The title should read, "For 40 and On."

Every woman needs this Book
Love this book & these ‘exercises ‘. Really makes me feel centered & strong. I really like how she goes into detail on how each exercise is tied to the body and organs. I’ve gifted this several times.

Just Okay
Is okay but wasn't quite what I was looking for. I think he best way to learn is by video. Is okay if you want to know what to do for certain ailments, but not to learn the exercises.

Practical help
I began using the information in Women's Qigong a couple of weeks ago. It is an easy to follow guide. The exercises and poses are easy to understand and enjoyable. I recommend this book.

Please buy this book if you are a woman and want to learn about Qigong
I love this book! I take a bi-weekly Qigong class and also have several Qigong videos. However, both of these are taught by men. This book is especially written by a woman for women. It is extremely informative and the pictures are especially helpful and useful. I found it so helpful for me, I bought a copy for my sister.

this book is great and easy to follow
this book is great and easy to follow. I attended a workshop at work and wanted to continue at home. I would recommend this to anyone new to these exercises which give you renewed strength and energy.

Sehr gutes Buch
Ich praktiziere seit mehreren Jahre Qigong und dieses Buch ist sehr gut geschrieben und erklärt einige Details, die mir noch nicht explizit bekannt waren.Das Buch ist in mehrere Kapitel eingeteilt: Menopause, Breast Health, Depression, PMS etc. und bietet für jedes frauenspezifische Problemchen Übungen an.Die Übungen sind einfach genug beschrieben, zumindest wenn man schon mal Qigong gemacht hat, kann man sie sehr einfach nachmachen und ihre Wirkung auch spüren.

I first got this book from my library and was so pleased with it that I brought it from Amazon. It came promptly in mint condition. It is divided into sections for different age groups and I find very easy to follow. Highly recommended.
