Prior to Osprey's series of historical aircraft and aces books it was so hard to find good affordable books on Japanese aircraft and the men who flew and crewed them.This book will be of interest to many like myself who have always had an interest in Japanese aircraft and operations. Especially in the days just prior to WWII in China and in the early days of the war on the Asian mainland.The writing is clear..with an excellent balance of technical details and biographies of the aces and pilots. Many historical photos are combined with beautifully drawn scale views of this aircraft.I would highly recommended this book for anyone who wants a good read on an historical..but often overlooked area of aviation.I would highly reco

amazing book filled with information about the Soviet Japanese border clashes. I recommend this book for everyone

The color profiles are alone worth the price of this book. History of the aircraft and the early Japanese aces is well written. Good photographic coverage as well. I you are looking to add another Japanese Osprey book to your library this one will not disappoint you.

Good Read

waited a year , book in my collection now makes 150. But information is still a mass of reboxed from the other Japanese Army Ace book. Could do better Osprey

Once again, Osprey unveils unknown (or at least not so well known) fascinating parts of air war history. The Deadly fight over China a few years before word war II is one, and this volume about the graceful Ki 27 aces offers us such opportunity. Stongly recommended.

ノモンハンで活躍するも、旋回性能至上主義という（ニセ）神話の象徴となってしまった本機。太平洋戦争開戦後は陸軍のやられメカ扱いとも言える冷遇ぶりです。開戦後もそれなりに活躍したはずなのに日本の書籍ではほとんど扱われていません。内容自体は日本語資料を集めたもののようですが、本来なら日本の出版社が出すべき本でしょう。翻訳本が読みたい。
