This problem works!
This product works for me with my insomnia problem. It is excellent quality or my functional medicine doctor would not have me use it.

Excellent product!
I have been taking this brand of Ayur-Ashwaganda for years. It was recommended to me by a pharmacist to use when I was taking biodenticle hormones. I have tried other brands but none of them work as well. It helps me keep my quick temper under control!

Helps me relax and sleep
This works well for my insomnia. I take it 2-3 hours before bedtime and it really helps me relax and sleep. I hear its also good for those with poor adrenal function. I have tried a couple of other brands as well and they all work but this one seems the best for me.

high withanolide strength which does not match advertisement for this product
Faulty advertisement! I specifically bought this because I needed a LOW dose." Product Description Ayur-Ashwaganda (Indian Ginseng) 300 mg 60 caps Each Capsule Contains: Ashwaganda 300 mg. (Indian Ginseng, Withania somnifera) Standardized to 1.5% Withanolides and 1% Alkaloids Suggested Usage: Adults take 1 capsule daily or as directed by physician."This advertisement says that it is standardized up to 1.5 withanolides but now that it's been delivered I see that the bottle reads that it is actually standardized to a whopping 7%!!!! That's about as much as any Sensoril patented product which, again, I was trying to avoid because I bought the Vitamin Shoppe's brand (PLNT) of ashwagandha standardized to 1.5% and just half of that capsule made me sleep for 12 hours and then to continue to feel groggy for about 8 more hours after that. I bought this one thinking that even though it might have 1.5% like the Vitamin Shoppe brand, this one had fewer milligrams per capsule so if I emptied half, I would end up with a weaker version. If you are wanting this strength, then I would recommend a more popular brand that you can buy for a lower price like Jarrow which is the brand I wanted because I trust it and it's less expensive but again, did not want the amount of withanolides that a Sensoril patented product contains. I would take this on a weekend or night when you do not have to get up early in case it affects you the same way. I've read other reviews on ashwagandha (sold on Amazon) how some people get knocked out and take it for a sleep aid while others are able to take it during the day with no problems at all. One 70 yr. old man said he took two capsules which made him sleep for two days. Based on my own experience, I can certainly see how this could happen. So I would plan accordingly since this (like most herbals) affects people differently---but to seemingly opposite ends of the spectrum: sleepy vs. energized. Start slowly and with a low dose is my advice unless you already have previous experience taking ashwagandha.
