Need a USB-C dock for my Dell G laptop so I can use my two 27inch monitors.This did the trick. Now I have dual monitors at 2560 x 1440 resolution!

Seems like a pretty good substitute for a full-blown docking station, but be warned that this thing needs more bandwidth than some laptops can delivery, at least if you want to run two QHD displays + use USB. I needed all of the data lanes for video, so the USB function on this dock made it a no-go for me. That being said, if your computer has the power to support this, it'd be a decent substitute for other full-blown docks if you don't want to use or don't have Thunderbolt.I had to switch to a video-only MST splitter to fit within the bandwidth provided by my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 5th Gen.I used my other USB-C port for a USB hub.

I bought this to use for WFH. I have dual external screens. Although this device has two Display Port sockets, it is incapable of extending the display either through the use of DisplayLink or natively as supported by the 2021 M1 MBP and MBP Max. When I spoke to the tech support they indicated that this is a limitation of the device itself. Pretty much useless to me for use on more than one screen.

I like that it makes two monitors from one port. I just wish it had two DisplayPort outs.

With my son distance learning, we bough him a laptop and hooked up an extra monitor I had, but when he needed to be somewhere other than my "home office" to use his laptop, unplugging the monitor, ethernet, external keyboard, etc. was such a pain. This dock fit the bill nicely by letting him just plug a usb-c cord into his laptop to get all the peripherals connected. Unfortunately the power requirements of the laptop do not allow him to use the dock for power also, but going from several cords to a power cord and usb is great.

It is an exact match for connecting my laptop via one cord (USB C for power and data) to my KVM. Having selectivity of USB 2/3 to manage maximum video resolution/refresh rate is cleaver.

This had everything I had been looking for in a Type-C dock: DisplayPort alternate mode with the choice of USB 2.0+4k60 or USB 3.0+4k30; USB-C PD passthrough; detachable USB-C cable. Works with my X1 Carbon running Linux.

The little dock gives you two options. It can either utilize USB-C’s all four lanes to create enough bandwidth to drive a 4k 60Hz monitor with DP1.2, while provides USB and Ethernet connectivities through the remaining USB 2.0 bus.Or, it uses only two lanes to drive up to 2 FHD monitors and uses the other two for USB 3 connectivity and gigabit ethernet.For my setup, I use its USB 2.0 mode to connect a 4k monitor at 60Hz, a 1080p webcam, an usb speaker and wired ethernet. All equipment get enough bandwidth to work properly. I’m quite surprised to see over 150Mbps throughput from the Ethernet port as it’s only spec’ed at 100Mbps in USB2.0 mode!The PD pass though mode is also working well, wasn’t able to test the wattage though.Overall, Im quite happy/impressed with what can be a hive with this little dock. With its little size, it can be a good travel companion too.

I recently received a new laptop for work, which meant I needed to rethink how I would easily dock it as part of my existing desk setup.I have two Samsung monitors which fortunately allow both HDMI and display port connectivity. With the former taken up by my MacBook Pro, I decided to go for a usb-c hub with twin displyports.I already have a hub for the MacBook with twin HDMI ports and thought that finding a similar one with display ports would be relatively easy. Boy was I wrong!It took me a while to find this hub, and am really pleased with it because it has an Ethernet port too, meaning that I can now have a more robust connection to the internet.I'm also using the USB port connected to another hub that allows me to switch both my external web camera and Blue mic between my work laptop and Macbook, as required. Another great feature of this hub is passthrough charging.The quality of this hub is great. It's well constructed, and having used other Startech products in the past, I knew it would literally be a case of plug n play. It comes in a nice strong cardboard box, with a usb-c cable supplied as standard, and some brief easy to read instructions.I can now use my new Dell work laptop alongside my MacBook Pro with ease. Both of them are connected to their own respective hubs, mounted permanently at the back of my desk, with just one cable for each to connect to my monitors and other peripherals.Dual machine workspace heaven!

No se dejen enganar, es una basura no sirve, no detecta nada, y por el precio solo les hace perder tiempo y eso lo hace mas costoso, lo probamos con diferentes dispositivos y en ninguno pudo servir, es un fraude, deberia de penalizar al fabricante.

Couldn't get any of the video output functionality to work with my laptop (ASUS Zephyrus G14). All USB functions appear to be fine, but no video at all, which is the primary reason I need the dock.
