TOPS Dragonfly 4.5
This is an excellent bushcraft/ general camp knife. I could find no faults in workmanship on mine. The edge was paper curling sharp from the factory and the grind was perfectly even. In photos, the blade looks to have a scandi grind, which it does for the main bevel, but has a secondary, convex bevel. This makes an extremely sharp, yet durable edge. I batoned six pieces of firewood into kindling and the knife would still easily cut paper. It also worked very well for fine carving and I had no problem in quickly producing a couple of fuzz sticks.Compared to the TOPS Fieldcraft knife, which I also own, the Dragonfly is slightly shorter overall. The blade is just slightly shorter than the Fieldcraft but is thinner, which is probably why it's a better carver. The blade also doesn't have the black epoxy coating on the unground portion of the blade and has a bead blasted satin finish, which looks quite nice. The spine of the uncoated blade easily strikes a shower of sparks from a ferro rod. The handle of the Dragonfly is also a bit thinner than the Filedcraft's but still fills my large hands well and feels quite comfortable and secure when gripped. IMO, it actually offers more versatility in using different grips comfortably than the Fieldcraft. The sheath is well made and is constructed from heavy nylon, with a kydex liner and has a small storage pouch attached. I personally like leather sheaths but the included sheath does work well and offers some versatility in how you wear it and can be easily secured to a pack.Overall, the Dragonfly is an exceptionally well designed and constructed knife. I really like the TOPS Fieldcraft knife and will say the same thing about it, but I like the Dragonfly 4.5 better. It is a great value for the quality and functionality that you receive.

New upgraded sheath!
I’ll be honest, I was dragging my feet on this one. I love Caleb and the crew, and I wanted not only to support them, but have a knife that Caleb helped design himself. But the sheath was a deal-breaker.Move forward a couple years, and now we have access to a small cabin where I can mess around. The sheath became less of an issue as I wouldn’t need to belt-carrying. Imagine my surprise when this beautiful leather sheath shipped with the knife! With the new sheath this knife is now a no-brainer. It is a beautiful and comfortable knife - now with a worthy carry option!

Great design crap sheath
Hey everyone. I'm giving this knife four stars because of the sheath. The knife itself is perfect in every way. Blade not too thick, handle long enough and with the right shape to allow many different holds, good steel, hollow rivets (a nice touch), good blade shape, nice fit and finish, razor sharp. The problem that I have with the sheath is not that it is nylon. I don't mind a nylon sheath at all, but for the price, this one just doesn't seem very durable. Velcro? Really? The stitches used aren't very thick, it isn't double stitched, the design is lacking, and the velcro starts to separate when I sit down. I was prepared to give this sheath a chance but I will be buying the leather one sold on the tops website. Hopefully the quality is better than this one. Overall I would recommend this knife though simply because the design is close to perfect. I have even made my own knives in an attempt to create something like this before I knew about the dragonfly. 1/8 is th perfect thickness and the handle is perfect. The belly isn't too deep either.

It sells as a sturdy 1095 high carbon steel
Knife is extremely flimsy. It sells as a sturdy 1095 high carbon steel, but if you're buying this for a bushcrafter look somewhere else. I really liked it out of the box but within 5 minutes put a big bend in the blade. I was then able to bend it back by hand! I thought Mabey it didn't get heat treated well so I contacted tops and they told me that the knife is supposed to bend. I feel that is something they should advertise instead of claiming it to be sturdy. Waste of money for the sheath and the knife are a disappointment. If you're not one to get your knife dirty then by all means pick one up, but don't put it in your bug out bag.

Perfect knife!
This is by far my favorite TOPS knife! The balance is just PERFECT, I like shape of the blade a lot, super sharp! Most comfortable handles from all knives that I have. Similar to condor Bushlore that I think is really nice knife but TOPS DRAGONFLY is 10 times better. The only bad thing that I can say is about sheath it's basic nylon sheath I would just expect better sheath from TOPS and for this price.Knife 5/5Sheath 2/5I will attach some photos for a size comparison

Good bushcraft knife.
It's a good knife both in quality and design.1095 is easy to sharpen and retains an edge unless you abuse it.It's got a good spear point blade which I like in a bushcraft knife.I have several things that I am not crazy about.1st is the handle shape does nothing for keeping your hand from sliding forward toward the blade when pushing the tip into something.A small paracord lanyard that wraps on your little finger and ring finger remedies that.2nd is the canvas micarta handle will absorb water. This is definitely a problem for 1095 especially since you can't remove the handles to clean or oil the tang. I load them up with Sno-Seal (bees wax) and they become waterproof and will protect the tang from moisture.3rd thing is the sheath. I do not care for Tops tactical sheaths at all. I have no use for this style of sheath and I don't like the size of it or the fit of the blade that rattles in the plastic holder. Don't like Velcro holders either. The leather sheath that Tops offers on the side is perfect. Too bad they don't offer it as an option over the nylon sheath.Definitely worth getting if you prefer a more traditional sheath.Overall I like this knife and I can work around the minor issues that I wrote about.
