While there is padding, the quality of the padding is poor and doesnt offer much protection at the sit bones especially, other area seems slightly "thicker", typical buy cheap buy twice.

I find that the pads lacks the front protection. My thing got squished when trying to use it on suspension harness. Maybe good on bicycle but I am not using it on that.

These are certainly not the most comfortable cycling shorts but the thickness of the padding does mean that your tailbone/coccyx has a decent amount of protection, and that's why I specifically bought these. However, that same thickness makes them rather uncomfortable around the crotch if you want them for general cycling use, but I can put up with that due to the other redeeming features. The padding really is quite thick!As for sizing, I'm a 34 waist and went for the XL - I'd say that's spot on but, like others have said, they are low at the back if that's important to you.Overall, they do the job for me but won't suit everyone. Great price though!

Good product and good fit. Padding doesn't seem to be gel but still comfortable to wear.

What I like- the price is fair, design is good, fits as it should so you wear them under another pair of shorts, able to ride further without discomfort from the bike seat.What I didn’t like- although it’s comfier than not wearing them when on the bike it’s quite confining of the gentleman’s parts which you really realise when you take them off. (Maybe I needed to size up?)

Great for motorcycling. Stay in the saddle a little longer.

I haven't ridden a bike since a teenager, new bike seats are brutal compared to what i remember. I went out for a short ride and couldn't ride it again for about a week due to my gooch being absolutely destroyed. So brought these pants to see if they would help. I've got a virgin gooch pretty much as it's seen zero action and after i went out again i must say that they have made a difference, im not saying its a miracle cure but i could ride again 2 days later instead of a week . If i was making these the padding would be 4 inch thick but i guess i just need breaking in

These are as good as any others I've used but they claim to have gel in them, I would be very interested in buying some with genuin gel inside them as I could see those actually working just like women's heel protectors but sadly it's just normal foam padding, how do advertiser's get away with it ? Well if like me you can't be bothered with the hassle of sending items back then you just live with the disappointment of misleading discriptions or worse damn right lies. Not good Amazon how about letting people throw rubbish in the bin and giving them a refund with out having the hassle of sending back, sellers are relying on the fact people can't be bothered and use it to stretch the truth knowing they will mostly get away with it. I guess this is the price we pay for all the shops closing due to online sellers where you could actually check the product before purchase.
