I had just replaced our kitchen fixture in 2023 with a conventional fluorescent light fixture. It was nice and bright however the ballast went and instead of replacing the ballast or fixture again I decided to try a conversion kit to led. After researching various options I decided on this one. The conversion was simple and the bulbs are just as bright if not a little brighter than what was installed originally. I will see how long these last before I decided to convert the fixtures in my garage.

I have two, 2-bulb 4' (T8) fluorescent light fixtures flush mounted in the ceiling in my kitchen that I can't stand. But given the drywall work involved in replacing them with, say can lights, we decided to buy some time by retrofitting with LED bulbs. Further, one of the connectors for the bulb broke causing the whole fixture not to work. I had been looking for some sort of kit like this for a while but apparently was searching for the wrong terms.Anyway, found this kit. Installation was a breeze. Completed both fixtures in about 30 minutes. It came with everything needed to replace the connectors for the bulbs (not 100% necessary depending on the fixture and wiring, but I decided to do all of mine since the old ones were discolored and as I mentioned, one was broken so I figured they were all getting a little brittle), new LED bulbs, wiring, etc...What a difference. The bulbs are nice and bright, and being LED they come on instantly. No flicker like you get from fluorescent, particularly when the bulbs are going bad.This was a great purchase and really made a difference in our kitchen.

This conversion kit has been in use only for about a month. Over that time it has functioned perfectly; it is brighter than the fluorescent bulbs it replaced and has an agreeable color temperature. Installation was simple and ordinarily would have required perhaps only a screwdriver or two, depending upon what light fixture one is converting. In my case, my fixtures had the original tubes spaced a bit too far apart for the included short wires. However, the included long wires were long enough that longer replacements for the short wires could be cut from them. The included wire nuts did not function well, but I had better ones on hand. For me, these were very minor inconveniences, and if the lamps last as well as one ought to expect of good quality LED lamps I will consider this a very good kit.

Replaced both kitchen fixtures with the retro kit and installed the LED tubes. I didn't realize how dim our kitchen was with the fluorescent tubes until I flipped the light switch. Instillation was a snap even for me. I am 82 years old with a slight impairment but still, removing the ballast and old tomb stones and replacing with the new ones was easy. Brighter light and less power consumption is a double feature of this product. Clear and precise instructions helped a lot as well.
