Dried Cantaloupe Chunks (4 Pound Bag)

I first tried dried cantaloupe spears on a trip to New York and loved them. I was so excited to see that Amazon had these available. However we found the cantaloupe chunks we got were quite different. They were very sweetened, making them more like candy, and we found that the chunks had a significant portion of rind and very little meat. The rind has a somewhat bitter aftertaste and we had to pick through the pieces to find those that were primarily fruit not rind. The taste was good (if sweet) for those pieces, but overall, a disappointment. I will not be ordering these again.

I have a hard time finding dried cantaloupe here in Spokane. The only place that has it is really far away and I pay about $4.99 for only 9 oz, which means the chunks on Amazon only cost about $2.97 for 9 oz.I was a little hesitant at first because the reviews said that it didn't taste right but I disagree. I love the way it tastes. No weird aftertaste and super-sweet. I didn't want to buy a giant bag and end up tossing it if it tasted wrong but I'm glad I took a chance.Maybe the only thing I don't like very much is that it is all in one huge bag. It gets really sticky inside and I have to wash my hands every time. Some of the pieces stick together a little which is not a big deal.I will definitely buy this again once my bag is almost empty...which is probably very soon. :)

I first stumbled upon this product at another site and ordered a sample, then kicked myself for not ordering more. Now I can get it in this huge portion and I DO! It is a little like candy, but it is fruit, GLORIOUS FRUIT! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! Treat yourself and your kids - - and hubby, if you may. It is wonderful! They will come back for more, more, more!

These are so over-sugared that I can't taste the flavor of cantaloupe. I won't buy them again.

years ago i tried dried cantaloupe at a health food store. it was amazing, but expensive. this is my all time favorite dried fruit and getting it through amazon made it affordable. this company's product is very good quality and i highly recommend it.

Too much sugar added. There is no need for extra sugar.

Can't get the nasty taste out of it. It tastes really bad. The problem is the sugary taste, but it is not regular sugar. It has a very odd sweet taste that makes you not want to take another bite. Absolutely terrible.

the dried cantaloupe was very good, it was a sweet treat that is( bonus) good for you, it was moist juicy and tasty and rolled up in a sweet little package.
