I followed a YouTube video on how to install this part. I didn’t take the washer apart until I received this replacement coupler. I took the chance because all the articles I googled indicated that this would be the problem. You can see from the picture that the old one fell apart as soon as I removed the motor. After about an hour to an hour and a half which includes pausing the YouTube video, I have the new part installed and as you can see from the video it is working wonderfully. So $7.99 save me from paying someone over $200 or having to purchase a new washer. Great part so far I have done about six loads of laundry with zero issues. Buy with confidence and have a few simple hand tools ready and you too can save a boatload of money and continue to use the tried and true washer that you’re comfortable with. Great job guys with a fair price on a great part!

Lifesaver! When I googled "washing machine motor on not spinning" I saw some very concerning results with expensive and difficult repairs. Then I tried "washing machine grinding noise not spinning" and found a YouTube video that helped me diagnose my problem (a cracked piece of plastic, less than $7 to replace on Amazon, a great value at ~1/100 the cost of a new washer). Package arrived a night earlier than expected, and I had the new piece in (easy to install) and was running a load in ten minutes. My non-high-efficiency classic deep-filling washing machine is irreplaceable. With the help of Amazon and YouTube I have replaced most of the plastic parts that can fail (agitator dogs, lid switch, balance ring, and now this coupling). This replacement has metal though, which will make it even more durable. Machine has run for 20 years and now it's running better than on its last load a week ago. So grateful I could find this part!

The original motor coupling on my vintage 1990 Kenmore Series 80 washer finally broke (noises made but tub wouldn't spin). Following youtube directions, was able to uninstall old part in about 20 minutes. Picked this brand since it had the lowest number of 1&2 * ratings, and the OEM FSP coupling cost $30. Installation wasn't easy. I was able to hammer the tub-end side on, but not the motor end. I went next door and borrowed some metal files (one rough, one finer) and spent a few minutes filing the interior metal grommet down. It didn't take long, nor did much metal come out. The resulting fit was snug like the original (one side hadn't broken. the 1990 version didn't have a plastic grommet, btw). Putting things together took twice as many people and 3 times as long (including but not limited to 2 "is it plugged in?" since there are 2 interior connections that have to plugged in :), but was still a fairly straight-forward task. I'm neither handy nor strong, so this is something just about anyone with a peaceful mind and a strong helper (for putting stuff back together) could do. I took a star off since not everyone has a retired mechanic willing to loan their tools out.

Coupling kit arrived on time and as pictured/advertised. I replaced the broken coupling with the new assembly (each of the agitator and electric motor shafts were very snug within the new, metal cores, but do press compress into place. In short order, the Whirpool washing machine was put back together and washing clothes perfectly. Hopefully, the new coupling will help to allow this machine to function for another 22 years (most likely longer than me at 72)!

Last week our washing machine stopped agitating. It would fill up with water and drain but not agitate. I was going to buy a new machine but then I decided I would try to fix it. I looked up the problem and they said that I would need to change this part. I wanted an original Kenmore part but they don’t make them anymore. Based on the high reviews of this piece I decided to try. The part arrived about 6 days after ordering. Last night we changed the part. It took about an hour and we used an instructional video to guide us through. It really helped to use the end of a screwdriver and a hammer to make sure the piece fit flush on the unit. We just tried the machine and it sounds like it is working even better than before! For $12 I was able to fix our machine. I strongly recommend this item.

This item arrived on time and worked perfectly. It was installed on an old Kenmore washer which was easily installed and the washer works as if it was new. Will have to wait to see if this one will last. The old one was over 20 years old.

This product is totally worth it. Easy fix, Easy install! I installed it almost all the way.. I just left ⅛ or 1/16 of an inch for some little slack, so that it doesn't destroy the rubber from all the movements, so it can move freely and not deteriorate over time. It's been 4 months now, and it still runs like a brand new washing machine!

A perfect part to a 22 year old Kenmore washer Model 110 . It took 20 minutes with the flipping machine on its side to remove and replace this coupler . Great product at an amazing price , fit like a glove ..... it just needed a little tap with a socket and hammer over to just touch the metal sleeve but also clear the motor shaft . Before ordering flip machine on its back and see if your machine takes a coupling or if its a belt drive . This particular model was a Coupler system like the last 2 pics . Washing machine stopped spinning, found this had broken. The old one was only plastic, this one has a metal sleeve, so it should never break. Install wasn't too hard, there are YouTube videos to watch. Great price too
