Bird feeder watchers will enjoy it
I feel this is a book targeting the bird feeder watchers rather than the hard core birders, but that is my opinion. I enjoyed reading the book because I am basically a bird feeder type of enthusiast. Readable. Something I would recommend if the subject of birds interests you.

Every Birder Should Have This Book
This book provides information you don't find in most field guides. However, more photos would have really improved the book. Well, any photos really, as there are just some sketches within. But the text is fantastic! This book has greatly increased my knowledge of Birds & Birding in just on reading. And with all the notes I've taken, one more read should really solidify the information.

A very good general knowledge book
I very much liked this book. As my review title says, it's a general knowledge book aimed at (I believe) beginning to intermediate level birders. It starts out with a chapter on how to feed them (for beginners) and ends with chapters on their physiology (for intermediate birders). Very easy reading and very clear.I strongly recommend the book.

A Nice Book To Own Along With The Field Guides
Though it contains no photos, the text is quite compelling, and does answer many questions that a new "birder" might have about the subject. And like the field guides, it fits easily in a back pack, and would probably come in handy if you are fidgety and need something to do while waiting for a bunting to stop by.

Quite Useful Reference
Not sure why it is not a 5 but I have some reservations (minor) about the format. I guess it is because I have a certain way to inquire about information and the internet or Echo or Seri was more useful. It could; however, be I just ask crappy question about my birds and how to deal with some of their idiosyncrasies. I do feel it is useful and I would buy it again without hesitation. Sending a copy to my granddaughter as she joins us in "birding."

important information about how to be of benefit to birds!
This is a lovely book, filled with very interesting information. I knew I wanted to offer food to the birds, but felt concerned about negative comments I had heard about this practice. This book resolves all of these issues for me. And it provides information about how to feed the birds without harming them: keeping the seed clean and disease free, for example. A lot of things I did not know about. In addition, there's a lot of information that makes me appreciate birds even more. Intriguing info about mating, caring for their young, migrating, intelligence, how they sing, feathers and how they fly...On a more mundane level, this is a lovely looking book. It's small (about 6" by 4.5")yet satisfyingly hefty (about 1" thick.) It's attractively bound, with a shiny cover and a textured, matte spine. It's a great little book in so many ways. Well done! The Bird Watching Answer Book
This is one wonderful bird book with so many great questions and answers about birds. This is by far one of my favorite bird books to read when I want to find out an answer about a question I have about a bird. 5 Stars!

The Bird Watching Answer Book
As a novice birder, I found this book really interesting and easy to read. It is set up in a question and answer format, with information about feeding habits, migration, reproduction, and a lot more. I have several books about birds and birding, and this one is definitely a keeper.
