I needed a portable CD player. My massive collection of CD's need to be played, and this is a simple way to play them just about anywhere. Headphones and portability make for close listening. Very impressed with the quality of the sound. Just be aware that you may receive emails promising gifts in exchange for posting reviews. In my case, I was supposedly helping these ladies keep their jobs by posting a review in exchange for a gift option. However, zero follow up from them. Maybe they lost their jobs? Just take these positive reviews for what they are.

This is the 2nd one I've purchased. Battery feature stopped at 14 months (intermittent use). It still works with USB connection. I like to do things around the house while listening to books. The USB feature doesn't allow that. Yes, I know; why buy the same one. It has all the features I want and has the best rating...

Though I listen to streaming audiobooks ,I still listen to CD audiobooks borrowed from my library. Finding a good portable CD player to take while I’m walking my dog was difficult. I could buy used retro portable players but they usually didn’t work well or last very long. The Hott CD player was a new manufacturer.I love it! Sound quality very good, long battery life ,and the CD doesn’t skip when I’m walking . (I have a small cross body bag I use to carry it while I’m walking .)I’m going to probably buy another one as a “back-up”.It fits my needs perfectly!

Bought as a gift. Gift was not used for long time due to health/other issues. Worked well initially. Feature most desired to stop/return to point where last listened. It has quit after limited hours use. The manufacturer was contacted but no reply.

this is easy to use in a car. my car does not have cd player so this is great. takes road bumps well and sound quality is excellent

Very Tin-Plastics Feel. Buttons hard to feel and use. Primary use was for audio books and was very challenging. First sheet out of the box was a "Trouble Shooting" paper for the product. Not a good sign. Gave it a try, but had to go out and buy a lead for the computer for a charge, batteries I had didn't want to work. Too much work. Finally, after 1 CD gave up and listened to the book in the car and sent the product back.
