Our medium-sized picky parrots love these!
If you've been trying hard to get your picky medium sized parrot switched over to pellets, give these a try! After many trials and many rejections of several products, our parrots finally got hooked on these. They have a nice look / smell and also have good, well-balanced ingredients. The price is also quite good for the amount. We have been buying these for a long while now and our bird still loves them. That being said, all birds still need a good variety of foods, not just straight pellets. These are worth a shot!

My parrot loves these.
I switched over from ZuPreem fruit pellets to these. Natural colors, not chemical smelling, smell more natural. I can’t help but think they taste better. My parrot liked them more than the others. Also as far as I know they have never been recalled like some other bird pellets out there.

Birds can be picky
Our cockatiels tore into this right away, but will only eat the red and orange pellets, and the green and yellow ones become expensive chicken treats. What's odd is they were only picking certain colors out of the Zupreem brand before I tried this, but when mixed with the Intune, they eat all the Zupreem first, then red and orange Intune, then ignore the green and yellow. This seems to have healthier ingredients, but I'm going to try Kaytee pellets next, and if those don't work, back to the Zupreem. Just not happy about the added sugar in other pellets, and they won't touch brown pellets like LaFeber. Just glad our one bird will eat pellets at all since she was eating 100% black oil sunflower seeds when we got her. Almost anything is an improvement over that, but we definitely see a change in her energy and appearance with a better diet.

Great Quality - But my Conures Won’t Eat the Green Ones
We have been purchasing this food for our 2 Conures for a couple of years because we believe it is of good quality. However, they DO NOT eat the green pieces, which turns out to be 1/3 of each bag. Considering the price, I don’t find this very cost effective, and have had to purchase other foods to add with it.I believe I have read other reviews in the past stating this same issue.Note to the manufacturer: What are the green pieces comprised of? Is it the ingredients they are made of, or do birds just have an issue with the color in general? You may want to check into this to make your product top notch.

Super by the scoop ful, !!
My bird , a super smart Conure , Amazing Grace , loves this food . She has chronic beak issues . This was recommended by her vet at TuftsMedVet Ctr. I also use it as training food as it is so colorful. When she sees the bag come out, she flies 2 my shoulder waiting for me to pull out the scooper& fill her dish. I take her”word”!that it’s delicious& know by her health of her body& by brilliance of her feathers that this is healthy food as well!!

Beats Zupreem Fruit Blend
My 2 conures...20 & 18 years, easily switched from Zupreem fruit blend to this food. After reading the bad reviews for the ingredients in Zupreem I'm hoping I see an improvement. Higgins smells good and natural. Next order I'm going to get the larger sized pellets for parrots. It closer matches their old Zupreem pellets. These conure sized pellets are smaller and better suited for cockatiels. Or, at least my conures like to handle their food with their foot when eating.
