Pawfect for my pooch
This is exactly what I needed for my Houdini dog! Her head is smaller than her body so most harnesses come straight off her if she gets startled or refuses to walk forward if she’s scared. The fact it has a strap that fits around her lower belly is key, this prevents it from sliding right off her because she has a bit of weight in that area. It took a little bit for me to tighten all of the straps to fit her but once I did it was perfect. My dog is a 20lb Jack Russell terrier Chi Mix.

Strong harness!
This harness is great. I have a 12 year old 63 lb pit with arthritis in her spine and hips. Unfortunately, we have to go up and down a steep flight of 20+ stairs for her to get outside, and it's become difficult for her to climb them. I bought the harness so I could use the handle to lift her a bit and help alleviate some of her weight to make it easier for her to climb the stairs. I was afraid it wouldn't be strong enough to hold her weight but it's been a couple of months now and it's holding up! I've also used it to lift her in and out of my car so she doesn't hurt herself.

Great item for older frail dogs
Really like this harness for my senior dogs. It is safe and secure and allows me to lift my girls without stressing them or inadvertently causing them injury.

It fits perfectly
I have at least 7 harnesses from 12.00 to 80.00 this by far is the best

Metal Ring seems flimsy, otherwise perfect.
Bright, fits well. Overall well made but metal ring on back seems weak. I'll probably replace it.

Fit isn't great but It gets the job done.
I ordered a small for my 22lb senior Boston Terrier, who has arthritis and cushings disease, making it hard for her to get up and down the steps, while also urinating frequently. This has been very helpful in saving my back as I was picking her up several times per hour. It's also great since she doesn't hear our voice commands as well as she used to, the handle allows me to quickly remove her from a dangerous spot. The length is perfect for her. The problem we had with fit came down to the straps not being adjustable enough. The V at her shoulders is adjusted as small as it goes and is still VERY baggy - I sewed a few stitches in the nylon straps to shorten it. The straps around the chest and belly have more adjustment, which has came in handy since she is now re-gaining muscle tone in her belly and I have to make it smaller every few days. (I'd post how we are curing her Cushings disease, but it's not FDA approved and off topic so I don't want to get this product review censored. Look around. There is an easy, effective solution.) She doesn't seem to mind wearing it and there's no spots where she has chafing from it, which has been a problem for her with other harnesses. We got the blue and the color is much lighter than pictured and it's quite nice. It has reflective accents that are nice at night. It's holding up well.All-in-all I'd recommend this harness, with the caveat of expecting to have to make some alterations to get the fit right. Also it may not work as well for male dogs due to the placement of the belly strap.

Just what I needed
This is just what I needed. My male Jack Russell has some minor neurological issues, it is really difficult to get him outside to walk for excersize. He can back out of all of his other harnesses and trying to drag him with a neck collar does not work. He just will not move and I don't want to just choke him. So I love this harness because when he does a stop mid walk, I can grab the handle and pick him up and help him along until he starts moving his legs again. After using this harness every day on walks for a couple weeks now, his drop and stop moments have lessened quite a bit, he is finally getting in better shape and is a happier dog. The sizing instructions said for between sizes to go a size up, but for a male dog, I had to go a size down, otherwise the back strap chafes his genital area too much, the x small works just great on him, he's a 25 pound Jack Russell (he's a little overweight, soon to be normal weight, thanks to this harness)

Seemingly Good Value - Just not right for my dog
I've had the harness for only a week and I'm mostly satisfied with it. I got the XS for a 16 pound dachshund/chihuahua mix. Her chest measures 17.5 inches. It fits her well around the chest and rear but I wish it could cinch down just a bit smaller in the front around her neck. I have the front straps shortened as much as possible but there is still a bit too much play. As we walk, with just with normal leash work (she's not a puller) the harness turns to the side a little because of it. It fits snuggly around the middle and back so I'm not concerned about her slipping out. I've used the handle on the harness to slide the car seat belt through for safety restraint - that is handy. I wanted to get the Ruffwear Web Master harness but for 1/3 the cost and how we'll be using it, I think this purchase made the most sense.Update 12-1-19: After two+ months of using this harness it really hasn't worked out for my particular dog. Despite making adjustments to the strap lengths she just isn't comfortable. She actually walks away from me with a dejected look when I get this harness out as opposed to her other lightweight harness. It is quite bulky and I think she is not comfortable with the strap around her belly. She does actually walk fine once we get outside but I do not like that it shifts to the side. I think it would be a fine harness for a dog larger than she is or perhaps shaped differently and who isn't sensitive to whatever bothers her about this one. I do like the handle on this harness. The Ruffwear harness came today and we're off to a good start - it's far less bulky, but the handle is not as easy to get a hold off either.Updated 6-19-2020: The RUFFWEAR - Flagline Lightweight Multi-Purpose Harness has been a fantastic product for my dog. We've had it for 6 months and it is working great and she shows no discomfort wearing it.

The small size turned out to be quite long...too long in fact
As with other reviewers I have to agree that this is longer than is useful for a smaller dog. I have bought him several items recently in the same category from local vendors but the winter one is getting to be too warm now that it is getting nicer out and in store shopping is out right now so we decided to try this. It says it is only 9 inches long and my dog although not big by any means has taken a medium in most wearable items we have bought but the size of the small seemed right by the listing. If he was a girl dog, it would have been no problem but it basically went right over his junk and there was no way he could go without going all over it or all over himself. We liked the look of it and it seemed like it would be harder to escape from so we went with the extra small one right after. It arrived today and again is right in front of the action on his underside so we ended up having to cross the back two straps to keep the harness out of harms way so to speak. It does look good on him and crossing the straps doesn't seem to put any unnecessary strain on him anywhere so we will just ride it out until we can get into a store to see if something local can't fit him properly but at almost $40 for the XS size, it is a sort of expensive compromise on our end. I just get tired of returning things so if we can keep it clean enough I will end up donating it to the local shelter eventually.

Very thankful to have had this
We bought this for my dog when he started having more difficulty getting up from lying down. He wore it comfortably for several months. I was able to help him support his weight, even during his last days when his ability to stand on his own was pretty much completely gone. He was 90 lbs and I'm decently active, but not the strongest woman in the world. I was very thankful to have this when my man needed me most.

Good fit and sturdy handle
When our 30lb dog had leg surgery we needed to be able to help her on stairs. The vest fit around the chest but was a little lose around the hips. I wish they could be adjusted a little more to be more snug. I bought the orange vest because I thought it was reflective. It is not. There are 4 very small little rectangles that are reflective sewn on - two in front and two in back. They are only slightly reflective. The handle is very sturdy. We've been using it several times a day for a few months now and it's still in great shape.

Absolutely Fantastic
This unit is a blessing for our dear girl. We have an 8 year old small breed dog with arthritis and this harness is a God-send! We can assist her up and down the stairs avoiding shock on her little legs. It allows her to walk a little bit and do her business and sniff around like dogs do. When done we can lift her up the stairs or up into our rv. It seems to be very comfortable for her as she hasn't complained yet. It is also made with reflective material. Has a clip for a leash but we use a collar. Overall exactly what we were looking for. Quality of life for our little girl.

Very Poor Quality
After 3 uses the stitching has pulled away, This should not be happening when using very little effort to assist them getting up. Very poor quality
