The BEST Ice Cream Machine EVER !
Absolutely the highest quality ice cream machine I've ever used. I've been making homemade ice cream for years, using "from scratch" recipes, and I've never had an ice cream machine I love the way I do this one. Since I bought this machine, I have made almost a dozen batches of ice cream. Every, single batch has been nothing short of perfection. The ice cream us uniform throughout, without any ice crystals, and has a creamy, smooth texture, from the top of the batch, clear to the bottom. It is the most quiet of any machine I've ever used, and it makes batches of ice cream FAST. I follow the manufacturers suggestion to leave the churn in the freezer when I'm not using it. I love this machine, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who loves ice cream, and wants to make wholesome, rich batches of high quality ice cream for their family. Oh it was delivered the very day after I ordered it! 5 **************************************** AWESOME MACHINE ***************************************************

Good product. My family and I have used it ...
Good product. My family and I have used it 5 or 6 times and we are very impressed. Easy to use and cleanup is a breeze. We made the best vanilla ice cream I've ever had! We like to add chunks of cookies or candy bars near the end of the process. Makes a nice treat at the end of the day.

Love this!
I bought this as I am lactose intolerant, and lactose free ice cream is hard to come by. I also live in the boonies so getting ice cream home to the house still frozen is a challenge. So this is fun! As I can use my lactose free milk, and such. And make ice cream that doesn't give me the poops, and farts-a-lots. I plan on buying a second barrel soon so I can make 2 batches of different flavors at a time. I just wanted to try the machine first. As I was skeptical. Growing up with the hand crank versions that used rock salt, and lots ice. It works great. The only drawback is you do get softer ice cream. Like a soft serve. If you want it harder you need to freeze it a few hours before you eat it. Now this is using the easy, fast, recipes from the book. Yes you can cook recipes then make them in the machine to get it thicker. But I got 5 kids! We need easy! And I love we can now enjoy lactose free! Not just vanilla. Because that's the only flavor you can find in the store. If you can get lucky, and find that.

It's ok
It arrived in good shape. It is easy to use, but just wish it would have advertised that you actually need to put the bowl in your freezer hours before use. I thought it actually had a cooling system within the unit, but it doesn't.

Noisy.
Never had an ice cream maker but this one runs noisy both empty and full. Also smelled like oil when running. Bought it because of the brand name.

BUY THIS NOW!!!
I got this three days ago, and have been itching to try it. I got my chance tonight when I decided to have my mom and brother over for supper. I used the simplest vanilla recipe that they had in their booklet (only 4 ingredients) to insure success. After substituting the whole milk and sugar with unsweetened almond milk and erythritol (zero carbs), I mixed it together, took out the freezer bowl, and put it to work in our bedroom whilst we ate supper (although it was quite enough that I could have probably left it out on the kitchen counter whilst we ate).About thirty minutes later we were done eating, and it was still running. I had expected it to stop when the ice cream was ready, but it has a VERY strong motor and keeps churning even when the ice cream is as thick as it can possibly get (and it was thick). Much better than the cheap/junky Hamilton beach 1.5 quart POS that I returned to the store (which totally failed at making ice cream the last time I had dinner guests). Am gonna try a full on custard next time, this sucka has a motor that just won't quit.I got this for a bit less ($30 off MSRP) as it was a factory certified refurbished item, but it looked brand spanking new from what I could tell. It came from an amazon affiliate seller ( aSavings), and they got it here in record time (3 days early, as fast as prime). I'd buy it again, even at full MSRP, but aSavings made my first bowl of homemade ice cream that much sweeter. The quality of the ice cream is pretty darn good, even a simple milk, cream, sugar, vanilla recipe was airy and thick. Again, I can hardly wait to try out a custard ice cream in this. I can't say enough good things about this machine, hence the subject line of "BUY THIS NOW!!".

Was refurbished, no immediate problems.
Just tested the machine. The freezer bowl was in good condition and froze solid. The main body was in good condition. Not sure about longevity of the motor, but no issues as of yet.Made a banana custard to freeze, texture was good (flavor too, but that's not about the machine). Used fully chilled custard and frozen solid bowl; I then stuck soft result in freezer. It firmed up properly.

We've tried making ice cream three times in this thing ...
We've tried making ice cream three times in this thing. The freezing unit was frozen solid when we started, and we put in cold ingredients, but after 45 minutes of churning, we got liquid coming out. Fail.
