If you've played Saints Row 3 or, god-forbid, Saints Row 4 before playing this game, please read these words: THIS GAME IS ACTUALLY WORTH MONEY! Set years after the events of Saints Row, the game shows what happens to Still Water after the Saints lose their power. With the Saint's leader (you) in a coma, the Saints fell apart and three new gangs stepped in: the Ronin, the Sons of Samedi, and the Brotherhood. It's your job to teach those other gangs who actually runs the city (you). Unlike Saints Row 3/4, this game actually takes itself seriously. You tear the other gangs apart with challenging game play and interesting missions. The character of Pearce and Shaundi are actually entertaining and not annoying. Also, the gang's motives are centered in power, not fame or money. If you're a fan of GTA, you should give this game a shot. It may not be at GTA's level, but it's worth the money you spend on it. Take back the Row with this awesome game.

I am speaking from the perspective of a gamer who owns this game and doesn't have children. I feel a responsibility to let consumers know that this product's rating has been improperly listed. This game is great for adults but due to it's depiction of violence, gang activity, profanity, sexual depictions it is not suitable for underage use.

Rated M for a reason! Violence, drugs/alcohol, lots of swearing, prostitution, car theft, liquor store robberies, murder, and total carnage. NOT FOR KIDS. This game is a rip-off of Grand Theft Auto 3 or maybe San Andreas. But this game doesn't take itself so seriously; it has quite a bit more comedy and is, in my opinion, a bit more fun than GTA3. Gameplay is similar but the world is smaller in this one.After the events of the first Saints Row game, you (the head of the gang "the Saints") got blown up and ended up in prison and in a coma. This game starts several years later, when you wake up in prison. The Saints are all dead or gone so you have to rebuild your gang and take control of the city of Stillwater (which is supposedly in Texas but it's a series of islands and there ain't that much water in all of Texas; looks more like Chicago or L.A. really). You will have to fight off the police and several rival gangs to get back on top of the situation as the king of crime in the city. You can create your own character, man or woman, with several options for race and appearance. The game also has several side-missions that you activate by visiting certain points in the city that are marked on your map. These will win you extra respect points as well as some cash, plus they're just fun. Respect points are needed to open further missions in the main story.This game is also available as part of a 2-pack with the first Saints Row game. So look for that and compare prices to see which is cheaper.

The best freaking game on the xbox360, and the best Saints row ever made that is so good it puts every clone of it in the ground from sequels to even GTA games couldn't compare. Simply put the graphics style combined with 80's music, + adult themes, and a lot of swearing, occasionally leaving your character at certain spots in the game causes you to randomly perform an emote, the world is filled with great architechture, there's everything you could want in a city, beach, mountain, tree's homes, shops, buildings, strip clubs, and it's gameplay is so much fun with a friend co-op. Back in the day this was the best, and I have over 600 hours in it saved, it's like living in a dream when playing, and you can literally almost do anything you want, in a big world filled with highly customizable outfits, and cars, to airplanes and helicopters, hundreds of mini games, and a kick ass storyline with famous actor voices. Don't copy this in real life kids.Hands down Saints row 2 is the best game of it's genre/type in the universe, I went in and came out with no regrets.

I've played Saints Row 2 on-and-off since its release. I've never got so far as to say I've done everything in the game, but I've had a good taste of how the game works and explored a large amount of its content. In relation to Saints Row The Third, I'd say this is better. It hits the mark between fun and ridiculous, and it's safe to say that boredom will indeed be a rare experience when playing this game. From firing a machine gun from a helicopter's open door to playing a minigame involving insurance fraud, Saints Row 2 really hits the mark in terms of variety and diversity.The customisation at the start of the game, and indeed throughout the game, is great. Apart from the limited voices (which is understandable), I've never *not* been able to make exactly what I want, and I'd go so far as to say that the customisation actually exceeds that in top-of-the-range games like Skyrim and Mass Effect 3.Whether you're a hardcore gamer aiming for utter completion, or a casual gamer whose aim is to simply have fun, you'll make a gain in playing Saints Row 2.

Great classic game well enjoyable played it few times over as different characters,making own character up is massive plus and fun need make another game like this

I got this game because I love open world games. However, gangs and crime are not something I enjoy so that was a negative but it was fun exploring the city. The side quests did not interest me and the main storyline did not grip me enough to care. Still the game was fun for a single play through.
