Great reso heads if you have mics!!
These heads have finally given me the sound I want with no muffling needed! I have been muffling in the past because I got my drums tuned great with a 1 ply reso head, but there was so much sustain that was a little overbearing; especially since the drums also had mics on them. So I tried going to two ply with the coated EC2s and it is exactly what I needed! I still get the warm tone, but the sound is focused with a sustain that dissipates at a perfect speed.I will say this though, if your using drums with no mics in any decent sized venue, your going to need to go with 1 ply reso heads, however, if you do have mics for your drums 2 ply is the way to go.I have Evans G2 Clears on the batter, and the Evans EC2 Coated for my reso. This combo works best for Worship, Funk, Rock, Country, as well as Indie.

The Best Head for Rock and Pop... Period.
I've been playing Tama, Pearl, Ludwig, and DW sets for over 25 years taking lessons as a young kid, was center snare at a university, did jazz in university having the opportunity to share the stage with jazz legends such as Maynard Ferguson, and performing on big stages as an opener for bands such as Blood Sweat and Tears, Gin Blossoms, Poison, etc. Hands down, with the right shells, these heads have an attack and durability perfectly suited for rock and pop music. I play strong lifting the sound out of the head and it's hard to dimple these. I think it would take some crazy out of control thrasher guy to break/dimple these. I'd say I replace my heads on avg every two years. These heads sound absolutely fabulous in the recording studio using a neve/api style plugin or console. Put on head phones and listen to Paramore's "That's What You Get" and that's the sound I get from these heads. I get a strong attack with sustained note at first and then the decay rolls off into the sunset. 14" & 16" toms with these heads are just amazing. I use these EC2s on both the batter and resonant sides for rock and pop. For more mellow gigs I will alternate to a coated Evans head but coated show signs of use much faster showing dirt, grime, marks, head dust, etc. I will do the coated heavy dry Evans with the little air holes around the edge on the snare to tame overtones. These EC2 heads are easy to tune and in my opinion Evans exceeds Remo heads in style, innovation, quality, and durability. As a kid growing up it was all about Remo but they have lost in the past decade not spending enough in R&D in my opinion to stay #1. Nobody will second guess you using these heads and if they do they need to be educated. Enjoy and drum on!

High quality easily tunable head
I used this head to as a resonance head on a 12” Tom to reduce overtones. Tom sounds great!

Consistent quality
I had to buy these again for my newest kit. These heads provide the perfect warm, dry, full tonal quality to my toms. Great every time, no extra muffle rings needed. Easy to attain consistent tension

Love em
The media could not be loaded. I have been using Evans drum heads for years. Always a great and always a great product. I’ve been drumming since i was 8 both in a stage band format and marching and symphonic formats. I have probably used every brand head out there. But Evans are what I’ve stuck with for the last 20 years. The EC2 have been my go to for all types of music. Country, jazz. Big band, rock. Always on point. Extremely durable as well.

Good overall head
I used these to replace the stock heads that came with my kids drum set. They are pretty much the same as those stock heads.A little harder to tune too.I guess I lucked out and got decent heads with the kid drums?Hope they hold up under some heave use.

Doesn't say on listing they are frosted!
Waited weeks for this to turn up and then find it's frosted. Not exactly clear from the pictures and does not say on the listing that they are or I wouldn't of bought it. £20 wasted.

They're frosty, man!
Wow, these are seriously good drum heads. With a bit of tuning they have made my cheap and nasty kit sound like a much more expensive instrument. Even tuned quite high they a deep sound to them, perfect for rock and blues.Consider me converted.

Good price
Great tom heads used on a maple 13 x 9 sound better on lower tuning

Top quality from Evans again
I've been using Evans heads for a long time their durability is matched by none !!! Usually use clear or coated g2's but decided to switch to the ec2 clears, wow they are superb, easy to tune and seriously open up each drum they are fitted to, the level 360 is certainly noticeable on their heads as well now. I fitted them to a dw maple collectors kit and am seriously impressed.
