Ahh, THE Commodore 64! Originally released in August 1982-April 1994, It is listed in the Guinness World Records as the highest-selling single computer model of all time, with independent estimates placing the number sold between 10 and 17 million units. Retro gamers rejoice! Commodore and Amiga still have fan based software developed! Especially active in SID chip music development, this is an ORIGINAL 1980's computer and NOT a modern PC in a case nor 'remake'. Note: The Commodore 64 came in two 'looks': This is the LATER, sleeker C64c model - (NOT the earlier breadbin model). IMPORTANT RE: VINTAGE TECHNOLOGY: -Please see REQUIRED ACCESSORIES and if Individual Seller includes these details prior to purchase! -Vintage technology is NO LONGER under manufacturer warranty and is only offered by individual sellers when applicable. - VERY IMPORTANT: C64 computers require a UNIQUE power adapter (12v and 5v simultaneously!) Now, 30+ years later, ANY and ALL original 'brick' power supplies are suspect and VERY prone to failure. EVEN IF SEEMINGLY WORKING (CURRENTLY), THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR C64 COMPUTER WHEN THEY FAIL!! This breaks the hearts of fans everywhere and technicians restoring these vintage machines: YOU MUST PROTECT your C64 with a Power saver cable or custom made power supply (See expert Ray Carlsen's page at http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/ or seek out a "SaV64" device). If determined the C64 was damaged by an avoidable power surge by not heeding this instruction, many sellers may void any offered warranty. REQUIREMENTS: (Check what Seller includes) - Proper power supply - Audio/Video Out: RF compatible connection or via proprietary 5-pin video cable for composite, or S-video for best results. - Monitor required. - Software needs a compatible floppy drive, cartridge, data-cassette player or custom SD card interface. **Note: The C64c does not use SDRAM nor is POWERPC based ( has N/A uncustomizable detail options for those fields).
