Crepe Back Satin Sky Blue, Fabric by the Yard

My first opinion of this fabric was that it was too rough on the crepe side. I almost returned but decided to keep it and see what came out of a warm wash and delicate dry. Turns out it was good decision. This is great fabric. And did I mention it's a dream to sew. I had no problems with slippage and did not need to pin every seam. Win Win.

The color and quality of the fabric is great, I used it as a background cover for photos but of course it is suitable for dress making.

I purchased for a craft project. The color is more of a wine, darker than burgundy. I wouldn't want to make a garment with it because the weight is light, it's not tightly woven, it's a little scratchy on the non shiny side and the color transferred a little while I was working with it.I still give it 4 stars because it is very pretty and arrived on time. It was also one continuous piece. I got the job done. Overall pleased for my purpose.

Honestly really shaken at how amazing this fabric is for the price point. On the left is satin that I bought for quadruple the price of the crepe on the right. Lighting is kinda weird, but they’re basically the exact same color and almost have the exact same shine. The only difference is the weight, and that’s normal since crepe is thinner then bridal satin. Overall highly recommend this fabric for lining, really was blown away.

The color has a more grayish tint to it than the photo shows. Except for that it's as expected from this type of fabric. It was neatly cut and not too slippery or too thin to make sewing hard.

The color is beautiful (royal blue). Satin on one side and matte on the other. Nicely weighted. Not thin and not thick. I'm using it for a dress that is a part of a costume but I would use this for a dress that's not a costume.

this is actually not crepe backed satin. I think it is a nice grade of halloween fabric. I am still trying to decide whether I should use it to line a coat or not.
