Good, But Layout Could Be Better
I agree with all of the positive reviews on this book. It's much more than a recipe book. This is a large book. My mailman decided to put it in my regular size mailbox, and I wasn't sure I was going to get it out in one piece!! I am giving this book 4 stars - actually if I could it would be three and a half stars. The reason is that while it's packed with great info and good recipes, the layout does not make me happy. Some of the recipes start on one page, filling up the last dab of space on that page, and then the recipe is on the next page. Also, I think there are 14 very nice color pictures on glossy paper, but they're not with the recipe. They're grouped together in one area of the book. So, for a five star book, I need everything together on one page and a picture would be nice. The way I organize my recipes on my computer is in two columns, name at the top, ingredients in column on the left, a picture on the top right side and the instructions under it. Then it fills the whole page and everything is together. Just sayin.

Helpful to get you to be aware of the sugar in our American diet
I just started using this cookbook. The recipes that I made so far and very tasty. I gave it three stars because some of the ingredients are very hard to find...even in Whole Foods, and some of the recipes take a rather long time to prepare. But then again, I am not a good cook, nor do I like to cook. Even though I cook from scratch most of the time, I like to be in and out of the kitchen in a fairly short amount of time. I like the shakes. I have a Nurtri Bullet and I can whip them up in no time at all. Again, I have no idea what one of her ingredients is. Some fiber powder of something. I just leave it out.

JJ Virgins Sugar Impact Diet Cookbook has some really great information. Most of it I already knew but her recipes are pretty easy and fast. I'm not a fan of seafoods so I skip those, but the rest are really yummy.....And she base's them away from the worst food to eat ~ SUGAR ~ She breaks different problems down, like diabetic and Insulin Resistance diet, Gastrointestinal Healing, Paleo and Low Carb, Vegan and Vegetarian and shows you how to swap foods to benefit you. It works if you pay attention! And the most important thing is "Do It" so if you are serious about getting sugar out of you diet, get this book.....I did ~

If you're tired of not losing weight this is the book and plan for you...
This is a wonderful cookbook and all around diet plan. If you're tired of staying at the same weight or even gaining weight when you're eating what you think are healthy diet foods, this plan and book is for you. I used to go to Weight Watchers for years. I'd get to a certain point and couldn't lose weight any more. Since following this plan and making these great recipes, I've lost a total of 18 pounds in two months. I've also curbed my sugar habit.This is a diet plan that I can live with for the long haul. It's easy to adapt this way of eating for life. Thank you JJ Virgin!!!!

Not enough pictures. 🙁
I gave this a low rating because I’m a visual person and there are very few images. It has some good recipes in there but you really have to go through the book and read the ingredients to see if you’d like to make it. I just don’t like to do that. I like images with my recipes. 1. To see if it looks good and 2. To see what it’s “suppose” to look like!

Well worth the try
The concept is a long time coming, so I'm so glad JJ Virgin has made it so easy to ease-up on sugar. I've lost only half the amount claimed, but am enjoying the recipes and feel much better in general. Her website was impossible for me to use...perhaps due to computer problems discovered not long after...and her products are VERY expensive. Best off trying to find them elsewhere.

It's OK ! I know I need to leave sugar behind me but that's it in a nut shell. ME ! Just me. I live by myself and don't need recipes for 10 ! or 14 !Yes ! I know how to use division without a calculator but why would anyone put this together like it is ...quite frankly, I have not used this book and it will be sold here on Amazon asap.Please buy it and have fun, lose weight and be healthier !

Love my new cookbook
Very delicious recipes.Love my new cookbook.I was skeptical that I might have a hard time finding some of the products, surprise,I didn't.I joined the Sugar Solutions Program and this cookbook gave me a big one up. I was also surprised at the resources located at the back of book.This is the 1st cookbook and 2nd book that I have ordered of Ms Virgin's. very pleased and looking forward to trying these out on my family

JJ Does it Again! Delicious Recipes for Fat Loss - Thank you!
Finally! I got my copy and LOVE IT! I have all of JJ’s books and she is an amazing author and really knows her stuff. Easy to read, follow thru and understand. This cookbook will make it so much easier and the recipes look amazing, can’t wait to try the recipes, all healthy. I’ve read her previous book, have a better understanding on the what, how and why, I’ve already done the pantry swaps and have all the ingredients on hand. I make the recipes from her previous book and they are delicious, you don’t feel like you are giving anything up and we are always satisfied. Thank you JJ, for making it possible and easy!

Waste of money
I watched the PBS show and ordered both books. The concept seemed simple and made sense.It assured there would be no crazy ingriedents just normal food you already have in your pantry.I have never heard of monk fruit extract and Malaysian red palm fruit oil which are used a lot. Coconut aminos,arrowroot powder unsweetened cultured coconut milk , macadamia nut oil, fiber blend. I don't have time tomake homade broths and rubs. I can't afford everything low salt and organic. Grass fed beef really!These recipies may be healthy and reduce sugar but I will donate te books to the library.

Not really suitable for the Indian diet - ingredients are not easily available in India
I'm not really happy to rate it three stars but I believe this will be seen in Amazon India rather than Amazon US, this book is not going to be very helpful for Indians since the main course items use vegetables and proteins that are really not common or affordable in India, especially Bangalore. It will put you off and you won't want to read it through or even try it.Some of the shakes recipes are helpful. Overall I would not recommend this for Indians. Try making your own recipes using her general guidelines.
