Pool / Spa Pump Shaft Seal 5/8" Replacement For PS-200

Unit was exactly what i needed and worked fine. Had i not been very observant in the disassembly process with the stuck impeller and defective seal i would of not known which direction the seal was to be installed and could have put it in wrong. I had to take it out in pieces. A small diagram or a picture of how the seal and bearing installed correctly would have been nice. Made a little noise hi pitch noise untill the seal seated which went away after a couple of min.Has been running for weeks now fine. No leakes

The ceramic seal in my 20 year old pump had a single O ring whereas this replacement has 3 ribs. But my old one looked pretty good so I just put in the other half of the assembly. Works fine.

My application for this seal is the hot tub. over the years I have purchased this item several times. Use has determined that a yearly replacement of this seal can save a costly motor replacement.Be aware of seal orientation at disassembly! There are no instructions or diagrams to go by.

Dont touch the white ceramic with hand and no oil or lubricant on it. You can clean it with alcohol and q-tip. Black gasket around cermic will sit in and white part face you. Then the black side of the Spring goes on top of the ceramic.
