PowerPro Hollow Ace Splicing Kit

This kit has everything, including good instructions, for getting you started making your own wind on leaders. It would have been nice to find supplies for replenishing the kit in the same place I found the kit.

I love tools and tinkering. I believe that I had a smaller version of this kit, hard to tell as Hurricane Irma took away my camper and all of my salt water fishing rods and gear. Still, I convinced myself that I needed to splice braided lines again so I bought this kit. It all works as advertised and the instructions are good but in truth I can splice most lines just as well with a few pieces of bent, thin leader wire in place of these needles, your mileage may vary. The bobbin and rigging floss are the biggest improvement over my old splicing kit, not sure where I will find a replacement when I use up the floss as it doesn't seem to be listed anywhere I have found.

I am only using the smallest needle at this time, works like a champ. I made a splicing jig and only tie a whipping type of knot, no glue or other enhancement.
