Great Stick That Won't Let You Down (Five Years And Counting)
UPDATE: After 5 years of daily use under the weight of a 250lbs man, the walking stick is still going strong. After the first year or two, I saw some stress cracks at the base, but they've maintained their size (as I, unfortunately, have as well). I am thinking of buying another one for the inevitable day this one no longer works...but that day is not today. This stick has traveled the world--from the night markets of Taipei, to the canyon trails of Zion and National Capitol Reef. It has seen a lot of use and a lot of abuse. It still looks great and supports my weight. It has FAR exceeded my expectations. I hope these come back in stock soon! I'm 41 and too young to need a cane (though my knees, hips, and back say otherwise...). However, this "walking stick" looks more fashion accouterments than geriatric device. It looks great--at home on the trail as much as helping me from the car into work. I needed to trim it down to get a proper height (top should just hit your wrist bone), but 10 minutes with a chop saw, dremmel, and wood sealant and it's juuuuust right. Gets all sorts of compliments too. Each one is unique and all natural. If you are in the market for a walking stick or a "walking stick," you won't do any better.

Beautiful sturdy stick
I got this to help me walk while I recover from a back injury. I wanted something that would be beautiful to see and to hold and that I could still use after I recover. This stick meets all those criteria. The fact is, while I have been hobbling around with it several people have come up to me on the street and complimented me on it, one asking what kind of wood it is made of. While I will be happy when the day comes that I don't need it with me all the time, it has done its job magnificently. It is a pleasure to hold something that is well made in your hand.

That the reviews of the seller are accurate
The product was defective the handle was not as pictured , it was less than three inches. The bulk I the shaft was more than 2 to three inch in diameter. It was not a # 1411 cane from Whistle Creek. I returned the product and went to the manufacturer to obtain the product A #1411 cane.

Nice, but thick (stout)
Nice finish and easy to shorten. Just wish it wasn't so thick. It looks a bit clunky.

Gorgeous and well made
My husband loves this cane! He says it supports him well and is very lightweight. We are planning on purchasing another one so that he has one for indoor use and one for outdoors. Highly recommend this cane!

Robust and attractive.
This a very robust cane. More than adequate strength wise. This cane would make a weapon if necessary. I am constantly getting favorable comments on how attractive it is. This is my second. Ive had the 1st for over two years and I am now going to refinish it.

Walking stick??
Wanted walking stick. This is more like a cane. Review said someone who was 5' 11" had no trouble using. I'm 5'6" and it's almost too short. Not that crazy about it, but I guess I'll keep it.
