Perfect Fit
Unlike others being sold that have poor tolerances, these fit into a standard 3" female post lamp perfect

Fits Standard 3" outdoor lightpost/lightpoll
Used to mount light post (80" X 3" pipe) to deck. Note: Added exterior 2 X 4 between joists under deck for additional reinforcement for lag (wood) screws. Used 2" X 5/16" hex head lag/wood screws instead of supplied #14's to mount the base through deck board into the joist or 2 X4 material for a solid base attachment. Make a second and higher attachment of the light post to your wood deck rail with a simple galvanized or stainless pipe strap. Done and done.

The hole placement on the base was not perfect but I made it work/ would have liked no holes.

Hard to find size for my vinyl fence post
I had almost given up on getting a base for the porch lights I liked. They seem to either be 3.5 or 5.5 inches, so finding these was a major score!

What were they thinking?
This mount is heavy duty and is well made, but I'm baffled by the screws that came with the unit. I am mounting the base to concrete and I marked carefully and drilled the required 3/16" holes.When I started to put in the screws, I found the heads of the screws are smaller than the holes in the base. They are useless. Had to make a trip to the local hardware store for screws with a bigger head.

Well made item
This base works well for mounting a 3" pole to a wood surface. It was shipped quickly, however the required stub came separately and was delayed. I did buy some longer mounting screws.

Dimensions
My posts are 2.75" ID. Your base will not fit inside that. So your base is not 2.675" OD or it would fit. Big pain in the a__ grinding the bases down to fit.

The mounting holes could be counter-sinked. Mounted outside 6 ft high lamp post.
