I will bend be bending 4 brass rods threading threading the bent ends and attaching the bent ends to the four screw holes. I will then attach a fifth brass rod to the center contact. Finally I will trim all 5 brass rods to 1/4 of the wave length I intend to transmit on. (2 meters, 1.2 meters or 70 centimeter)To mount this antenna, I will attach a coaxial cable for the jack, drop the coax through a piece of PVC pipe, put the pipe into a flag pole mount and La Viola! for way under $20 for a cheap but effecting antenna! 6 parts to build the antenna, 2 parts to build the mount and a coax cable to connect the radio...

I was going to buy Amphenol, but wanted connectors the next day. These are well made and have tight tolerances, so both connectors accept a male smoothly and without binding. The insulating core is quality PTFE and does not melt. The metal quality is very good and the center pin is gold plated and well machined. These are almost as good as Amphenol for half the price. I am pleased to use them in my mag loop antenna. Good value. I would not hesitate to buy again.

Taking a gray electrical junction box at Home Depot, and other parts - I made a 1:1 Balun and used these connectors for my RG8X - worked well, no issues the female to make connections as seen on other brands.

Very difficult to Solder

I fabricated an antenna analyzer and needed a connector for the project. These SO-239 are very nicely fabricated and I like their quality.Recommendation: It was a good buy.

Exactly what I needed to complete my J-pole antenna. The connector accepted solder with ease and the insulator didn't melt with a 100 watt iron.

Excellent connectors. Very impressed with the quality. Had no issues with melting while soldering. Will definitely buy these again when I need more.
