This is the last version that tolerates old type language statements. The new version of 2015 proposes a conversion program but that program flags old style language statements as errors. So if you are working with windows 7 and 8 and are not planning to convert to windows 10, the version 2013 is the version to have.

This will be my fifth edition of Visual Studio and the fourth version of the .Net framework I have had to learn. All the necessities are there and Microsoft continue still to try and plug C# as a developer's language. It is all roughly what you would expect if you are familiar with previous versions. There does seem to be fewer frills and extras with this release, and the interface and tools don't feel quite as slick as in past offerings. I say this while admitting I am still learning the ropes and have a mile or two to go before I have grasped all the basic concepts. I am sure most people won't be disappointed, but there will be no great adrenalin rush either. If you need .Net 4.51 then go for it, otherwise, at least consider buying now rather than waiting for the next thing.

was what I expected, no issues, thanks!!! Outdated now, but you can go online get the updates to still keep using it and if you know how to program, you can always expand it yourself, it is pretty open to new addons.
