I love doing jigsaw puzzles. I've completed over 30 in the last six months, as COVID-19 has shut everything down. That means not only am I picky about my puzzles, but I've seen every type of quality-or lack thereof. I just completed this puzzle, and am happy to report that this puzzle hits all the right marks: it's sturdy, the pieces fit well, and the picture is clear and crisp. On top of that, it's a fun design.

We own almost all of the Mudpuppy puzzles and love doing them as a family. They are durable and high quality, and even my 6 and 7 year olds can help out with this one. Mudpuppy always makes fun puzzles with neat designs, which is why I often purchase them as gifts.

Five Stars of Patriotic Puzzle Perfection!Oh, darlings. This puzzle—this gloriously illustrated, geographically delicious, 1000-piece masterpiece—has utterly ruined me for all other forms of leisurely entertainment. Netflix? Dead to me. Books? Mere paperweights now. Social obligations? Canceled, indefinitely. I am now in a committed, monocultural relationship with this Mudpuppy marvel.What makes it so addictive, you ask? Well, aside from the vibrant, almost-too-cheerful-for-my-cynical-heart illustrations of every U.S. state (who knew Idaho had so many potatoes?), it has something that elevates it from a puzzle to a national treasure… It says “Gulf of Mexico” on the box. Yes, THE Gulf of Mexico. Right there. Front and centre, like it’s auditioning for a role in a historical documentary narrated by David Attenborough himself.Frankly, I’m convinced this is now a collector’s item. In a few years, when the Smithsonian comes knocking to preserve cultural artefacts from our golden age of cardboard-based cartography, this shall be enshrined under bulletproof glass, probably between Lincoln’s hat and the original Declaration of Independence.In summary: if you don’t buy it, I simply must assume you hate fun, geography, and collectible Gulf references.Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to locate Montana’s moose with surgical precision and a cup of tea.Highly recommended for patriots, puzzle purists, and Gulf enthusiasts alike.

This puzzle was a lot of fun to do as a family because the pictures are very distinct and it is easy to work on different sections together. However, the pieces are not thick and fall apart easily. Still worth it to do, just have to be careful.

kids spent the week with the grandparents and enjoyed putting this puzzle together. Bright and colorful and not too hard.
