Keep safe when using this spring compressor
Poor poor quality. Image not as product. Threaded bar fouls against spring due to not enough offset on spring hooks. This means spring compressor cannot sit securely and safely on the spring, potential danger. Also they have used a spring washer instead of a flat washer as the bearing on the rod thus makes taking of the tension jerky and not controllable, potential danger. Product not fit for porpoise, no safety instruction and no quality control certification not even a indication of its load capability. Delivery was great, next day. From this factual information you can draw your own conclusions to buy or not to buy.

Not recommended !!
Device not as per photo, had a large split washer fitted. When compressing spring washer moved causing it to dig into suspension spring and remove paintwork. Also the nut on the threaded bar also fouled on the spring again causing damage. Did not dare to fully compress spring due to the whole tool moving due to it fouling the suspension spring.

Very good but having spring washers a mistake
It did the job but the first time I used them as the springs were compressed it became difficult to turn as the heavy duty spring washers dug into the clamp material! Unwound them and replaced the washers with plain heavy duty washers and loads of grease which made them much easier to use

Hard wearing and works well.
They are heavy and sturdy. I am expecting these to be very hard wearing. They feel very secure while using.
