What happened to Proto?
Bought to replace a Proto 712 I lost which I use in an industrial setting. Previous 712 had virtually no slop in adjustment which is what makes an adjustable wrench quality. This batch was sloppy enough I determined them useless and returned. The picture shows slop in gap without spinning the adjustment.

American made proto wrenches
These are American made wrenches. They come in a nice American made proto pouch. Used them at work am happy with the quality and size of the tool no complaint on these.

Not a 145 dollar quality
These wrenches are made in Taiwan and the quality in the wrenches are like what you’d find at Home Depot for a 1/4 of the price of these. If these were made in USA with less play I the jaws, I’d say they’d be worth the money. But they are sloppy jaws and not a great finish. Feel cheap.

Best wrenchs out there
I have had a set of these for years there are tight and work great no movement ,quality and well made. I do not know where they get these USA ones are sloppy but they are not. Best ones since Crescent made them in USA.

Made in USA
Well made, and made in the US! Got as a gift for my dad for Christmas and he seemed pleased.

Proto Adjustable Wrenches Are No Longer Made In USA
Buyer beware, if you’re expecting USA made adjustable wrenches, look elsewhere or seek out a retailer that still has a inventory of New Old Stock Proto’s. Very disappointed in Proto’s decision to manufacture their adjustable wrenches overseas, I pray this change in country of origin doesn’t happen to anything else in Proto’s excellent line of hand tools.

Pricey Wrences in Cheap Roll
I bought this set with no assumptions. In hand this Seems decent, but not higher quality than the less expensive Channel Lock or Cresent. The tool roll was really flimsy.
