Adjustable Toilet Safety Rail

I ordered two of the toilet safety rails and one had a part missing...my husband mamaged to rig it so it works but the one leg is wobbly.

For the price, this product is a great way to assist my Mom in going to the washroom herself. The rail was very easy to install -- same difficulty as replacing your toilet seat. The product is very sturdy if the person is pushing up from the toilet seat. However if a person grabs one side of it, the rail wiggles a bit sideways.

I ordered this to use after recent hip replacement surgery. with a raised toile seat I purchased locally. this does not stand firmly on the sides of toilet. when u try to use it to get up it moves around and swings out away from you. made me feel very unsafe.. do not purchase this item.. not safe by any means..

As this rail was delivered without any accessory, you need to use bolts that came with toilet seat. Mine were made of plastic and they fell apart after the very first use. Then I bought metal ones, and they work now. The construction is not very strong, if you are more than 165 lb., you probably can get in trouble.

Who'd'a thunk it? Never thought I'd say that a toilet apparatus would make me so much difference in my life. I don't know why I waited so long to buy this apparatus for "old people". But I have to admit, I AM one now. If you or someone you know has ever dealt with excruciating back pain while trying to sit and rise from the toilet, you will understand. No longer will I have to hang onto the door facings! This rail is very easy to attach and very sturdy, even for my 200+ pounds. My husband affixed it in just a few minutes. And it's easy to clean around. In fact, after I have surgery next week, and, hopefully, the pain goes away, I might just keep it there.

I just came home today after total hip replacement surgery. I have used the rails once, and honestly did not feel safe at all because it was so wobbly. Fortunately, my husband is quite handy and is working on a way to make them more stable. Height-wise, they are good, and in a good position for use.
