Replacement part fit properly
The replacement part requires you to remove the piece the blots to the door. Be sure to keep your old part until you get the new one installed. Easy to remove the pin and add the original piece to the new part. đź‘ŚThe rubber wheels seem to wear out, but this is an 18 year old van. Honda Odyssey's run a long time with a little TLC.

DIY Door Repair
If you have basic mechanical skills and watch a few YT videos, you can do this yourself and save money because you will not get away cheap at the dealer. The hardest part was getting the cable off the old part and on to the new part because the cable tension barely gives you enough slack to twist and release it. You also need to support the back of the door with blocks or something during the replacement. This resolved our door operational issues caused by the deterioration of the plastic rollers on the original parts.

Easy to use. What a good deal!
I paid the dealer nearly $1800. Last time. In 3 hrs, I changed both hinges. All in cost… under $70. While I think the plastic rollers may be brittle, they were quite reasonably priced. No complaints…

Do NOT buy this!
We installed this part on our passenger side sliding door right before a long road trip to Florida. It broke while we were 1600+ miles away from home, within two weeks of when we'd installed it. Horrible! I'm glad my husband was with me when it broke, or I would've been stranded with 4 kids by myself, unable to get the sliding door shut. Absolute hassle - save yourself the trouble!

The part works perfectly but the design of the vehicle makes it difficult to install.
Check out at least a couple of the online installation tutorials before attempting it.. Not all of the videos videos show all the details. The most difficult things are one, using part of the old part and having to remove a pin and reinstall it and And 2, getting the slider cable mechanism mounted back into the new part. That was actually the most difficult. It's not a design flaw of the part itself it's just the way it's put together.

Easy DIY
Replaced these on our 08 Odyssey. Took about 45 mins to do both sides. Minor adjustment was needed to set the door "level". I suggest install, close door a couple times to allow it to settle itself, then perform final torque of fasteners.
